Well, I think my scale hates me!!! It refuses to drop anymore than 1/2lb every 5 days. Im down to within 5lbs of my goal. But dang, it moves soooo slow.

Wish me luck, I have a parent teacher conference with Nicos teachers this morning. Then, I am going to try to get Reservations for the Candlelight Processional, then I better write.

deena, that is so good that your son will stay in texas for school. now , texas is a big state..........where in texas will he go?

2 of mine went away to college. both of them required lots of driving for me, but it was worth it.

when david went to wisconsin, he got home sick and on the third day there i had to drive up and bring him home for the night then back to school the next day.................and i would do it again if it was necessary.
he came home for the first three weeks of school besides those weekends.

after that, he settlted in and wanted to stay there all the time once he made friends. then he adjusted well, and then i didn't adjust well.........

Morning all

Vacation got extended, sort of, by a day -- DW's grandfather passed away on Friday (he was 95) and the funeral was yesterday.

getting ready to spend the day in study hall...........believe me, this will be a long day and i am out of books to read.


6 periods of sitting and monitoring kids in study hall.
a nice way to make money today.


hopefully, the car will be ready this afternoon.
no offense to anyone here who drives this type of car but i have to say, i would never buy a rio kia in my life. it is the worse car rental i have ever had.........
i am short and my knees hit the steering wheel when i am in that car.

They LOVE Nico!! YAY! They said that his comprehension, listening, and his motor skills are excellent. They said his math, reading, social studies and science skills are above the other kids and everyone in the class is his friend.

They also said the girls adore him.

Hey, Adam and Bob didn't check in today! Think they had windy inches???????

Not quite. It's 60 degrees plus here today. Black Friday we went out and purchased a new Dodge Grand Caravan so that was a pretty expensive Black Friday shopping spree!

Bob, sorry to hear about your loss.

OCM, I still haven't made lodging reservations yet let alone a schedule. Since I will have the little-little one, I do not think I will do the dining plan. We will pretty much be going by her schedule so there are no melt-downs. I can picture either DW or myself staying at the resort some times while the other takes the 7 yo to a park for a "comando" style attack......And of course the teacher likes Nico....what's not to like?

Pam, Deena, Mac....you are all keepers too! Now I must go make some type of arrangements.

Adam - congrats on the new car!! I completely understand about the dinning plann and the little one. I had quite a few melt downs in Disney, and so did my kids.

Right now our tentative plan is to stay at Carribean Beach. But, I am going to see what I can do about getting a better deal. Once we have our lodging down and the parks scheduled, I'll try to see if we can meet up somewhere. It woudl be a shame to miss you, seeing as how we will all be there.

Thanks guys We all knew it was inevitable, so everyone (DW and MIL especially) had some time to come to grips with it. He lived a very full, very nice life.
