Now DW's out in the snow shopping with her mom, the baby's napping and the older one's doing jigsaw puzzles.

Im at work today its cold and we got about 5 inches of snow yesterday.
To quote Jimmy Buffett: Oh how I wish I was somewhere other than here sitting in some honky tonk sipping on a beer.....

yuck, what a lousy morning so far. up at 3 and took kid to work.
sat there for 15 minutes to drink my coffee in the car (mcd's drive thru) then came home. tried to sleep at 5 but couldn't.......watched tv, boring.....



i do much better once the sun comes up.

let's see, bob's dw and ocm are out shopping.
pam is sleeping off two turkey dinners right now.
ed is bored and cold
bob is happy, one kid napping other playing

stay warm. it was 3 degrees with the wc this morning at 3ish when i left.
not much better now, think it is closer to 20 night.

Sorry I was MIA yesterday, but after Family Brunch I was on Garage cleanup duty. Tomorrow (which BTW is my Birthday) we are going to pickup DW'.s new Honda Odyssey.....

Hey gang!!!

You were right mac!!!! I am being LAZY today! No kids for me, but i think I may have to end up taking noah to the doctor today--he is complaining about his throat and can barely swallow.

I think I am going to get out my christmas tree sometime today too. I am at home ALL weekend so I am sure we will get it up sometime...oh but wait....i guess i have another turkey day on sunday--have to get it up by then i guess!

Well I think I am going to go hop in the shower. I will be back later I am sure!!

no shopping for me on this friday............no way jose
all i do is chauffer the boys to work and pick up at midnight for one of them tonight , the other 10:30.

have to go to kenosha in 1.5 hours.
taking the car to the dealer for them to see it and order the parts.
but they told me it would take over an hour even with the appointment.

i always take a book with me when i have to deal with these time consuming things.

hope noah is feeling better.

i read that a lot of people put up their tree right after thanksgiving.

sometimes i wait until the 23rd to do mine.
the boys stopped helping me set it up some years ago. when that happened i wait until they complain about "where's the tree" before i put it up now.

this is pam's tree, not mine......i have branches missing on mine.

my kids would kill me if i waited till the 23rd of december to put our tree up! Aubrey is soooo excited to put it up...she keeps running around the house and says "It's Christmas, It's Christmas!" I ask her if she is going to sit on santa's lap this year and she says......"NO!" I tell ya...she likes him from a far but gets scared of him when he is close to her....hope she stays like that with all the guys!!!!

and early this week the transmission......

i have been sitting at the dealers since 1 and now it is the altenator.
can you say $689 + $81 an hour for labor........


had to rent a car and now home after close to 5 hours sitting there.


sh meets me at the door and he is leaving me alone for now.
he knows when i am in a foul mood.


the rental is a piece of junk. i hate car rentals. they were all out of what i wanted. looks like i will have the rental for 5 days. double yuck.

Sorry to hear about your car problems mac!!!!! my brakes stopped with the weird stuff so dave just thinks it was becasue it was wet out that day...i havne't had any issues with my brakes since but will get it checked out when I get my oil changed.

No tree up yet!!!! I have been tremendously LAZY today! Did laundry and cleaned a tiny bit but that is it! Oh yeah and I closed one of my athome shows today and depostied some money--so i have been out today too for about 10 minutes!

It has just been nice to relax today and not do much...waiting for dave to get home and find something for dinner.

Mac, I would call the Zone office and find a dealer that has excellent service. A 2 1/2 year old car should not be having all of the problems at once (unless you are putting ung-dly wear on it) I think that your dealer might be breaking your car while repairing it (hopefully not intentionally.)

JMHO, It happened to me with my last car. I had them fix something 3 times that broke after about 4 years into my purchasing the car. They fixed it and a month later it was broken agin. I found out that each time I brought it in the billedthe warranty (5 Year)for a new part, and I actually paid for it once. I bought the car from a dealership owned by one of my brother's class mates from High School.

I called the zone office and asked for the dealerships in my area and the number of service complaints from each one. Under his breath (they aren't suppose to reccomend one over the other) (and after I told him my story) He sent me to a place where they did things right the first time. I picked my car up (that had been fixed again) and drove it straight to the other dealership. I was Theproblem persisted, I was shown that there was no possible way that they could have replaced the part with a new one. Never went back.

Post script, oneof the drivers in my office went there 2 years later, they ran him up an $6500 bill on a car worth less than $3000. He didn't ask me, and had to sell the car within 6 months because it never ran right.

NO!!!!!! I will put it up before monday! I don't want the daycare kids to help...call me selfish but this is my kids tree...they can put up their own tree, they already have to share their house, toys, and mom...they can decorate their own tree!

I will send a pm out when it gets closer to the 15th....the mailing date! I figured if I waited then I won't have to tell everyone 50 times! oh wait that would probably just be me!!!
