test Part 3

Hello everyone! Hey, was that me in the corner? I vaguely remember that. Oh yes, that was when an "unwelcome" had invaded the test thread. But y'all stood up for me in my hour of need. I'll not forget that. I picked up the kielbasi today for Christmas morning and since I was in the Polish deli I had to also get some creamed herring, beets and horseradish and of course, pierogies. I just got back from a wrestling match. I'm the photographer for the local high school team. We are usually ranked in the top 5 in the state. The kids get a kick out of the shots I get. From seeing them so much, I know what moves are coming next so my camera is always at the ready. Hope you are having a great night!

our breakfast will be pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, hominy(again, I'll pass), toast if you choose, juice and beverage of your choice...we always have lots of hungry kin that show up....(they always show up when food is involved...do you see a pattern here????????????) :earboy2:

The kielbasa I get is from the Polish butcher from my original hometown of Manville. On Christmas morning I bake the kielbasi and a small ham until warm. I ask the family what they would like as sides and when they answer, I tell my 15 yo DS to get at it! (I just love that he is going to high school and majoring in culinary!) He'll fix eggs, pancakes, homefries etc. but I just normally have some kielbasi and ham with red beets and horseradish on some good ole' Polish rye bread (made in my bread machine that morning). Of course this all happens after my 6 yo DS wakes us up at 5:00 AM!

I'm supposed to make ziti for Christmas day dinner at my brothers. I usually make it with Sweet Italian Sausage, lots of it (Appetito is my preferred brand) crumbled into the sauce. Tons of mozzerella and some hearty seasonings. All in all a pretty easy dish. I love Christmas food but I also enjoy this Holiday because I am blessed to have a family that knows what the true meaning of the Holiday really is. I have a strong feeling that my test thread buddies have that same knowledge.

shall i call you mic to wake you up so you don't become late leaving for the airport??

don't watching movies at this time of night make you doze off...............

Adam, you won't leave a dry eye amongst us posting stuff like that..... :grouphug:

I LOVE Italian food and your ziti sounds to die for. I make my own homemade spaghetti sauce and use italian link sausage...so it must be similar to your ziti....yummy......I also make a penne baked dish that sounds familiar....so, you are a family of cooks....cooking and good food brings families together!!!

We too are blessed with what it is "all" about....and one nice thing this year has to have made new friends here on our thread...it has been a joy and a pleasure..I feel fortunate to have my "real life" family and my "cyber family" too... :flower: and did I say, I LOVE rye bread too....I just don't eat much of my "loves" anymore...but I still count them as favorites.

I could imagine. There are Polish factions in almost every city. The town I grew up in was 90% Polish.

In case you are wondering, I got cheese and potato pierogies for my family and I got saurkraut and mushroom ones for me. (I know that may sound gross but I like them) If you like Mrs. Tee's pierogies, these make them look like bush league in comparison.

If anyone wants a little care package, I'm sure it can be arranged.

Adam

my son eats potatoe pierogies Adam...and yes, Mrs. T is a regular supplier...lol

I'm not a fan of them, but I bet the ones you get are delicious...

well, I think we are out the door in a few.....I'm thinking grandson and I will be up when we return, so we might leave a message here for the morning crew.....I will entertain him so the others can sleep...little baby grandson will no doubt go right back to lullaby land upon getting home....
