happy thanksgiving friends. hope this day is wonderful for you and your families.


got up early, started mr. turkey................took four and half hours to fix the side dishes.. and yes, i also did dip....


they came, sat down while i was still slicing the turkey and started.
all done in 14 minutes......which is longer than it took last year.

now all have left and the kitchen is mine again to put back together.
they will be back in the kitchen around 3 for the pie...............


someday i will use paper and throw away containers......................

Hi mac, we are having dinner at 4...so if I could run fast enough, I'd run out and help you clean up the kitchen....

Hope you can find time to relax a little later on...enjoy a little of day anyway...what's your plans tomorrow? Of course you know where I'll be... crazy people shopping at 5 a.m....if it wasn't for working...you'd NEVER catch me at the mall on the day after Thanksgiving!!

I've spoken to my Mom in Florida and my son and family in AZ, so it makes me miss them after hanging up..but that is life, and I don't dwell on it. Someone is bringing dinner to my Mom, she isn't up to going out this year...(her friend reminds me of you mac, a true friend and help to those in need) so she was waiting for the goodies to arrive.

i am so bored with the kitchen taking a break to play.
so much stuff to clean up and another five minutes isn't going to hurt anything.
did ocm plan to leave early today?

we got out snow and ice......tomorrow it will warm up and melt it, i hope.

going shopping at 5:30 in the morning. don't know what i am getting but will shop anyway. none of the boys here have giving me their list yet. they always wait till the last minute like dec 23 and then i really shop.

i am tired. how about you? wait, you didn't cook today, your mil did..........

this year while the guys were chowing down, i started with pie and then went to the turkey..........if i am going to be stuffed let it be with something sweet.

lol Mac I was joking with my grandma I should start with dessert then have dinner. I really like to have about 3 small servings of food instead of a heaping plate.
Our dinner is over, we ate about 2, finally got ride of the in-laws and now its just laziness from here out.
I cant decide if Im going shopping in the early am or not. Dh has to work so he will be leaving about 7:30 so I could probably just hit 1 store, then my poor ds (17) has to work tomorrow. Its his first black Friday to work and I feel so bad for him.

Hi ho mac and 4GB's....glad you popped in to say HI....dinner was wonderful...I did a good bit of getting it to the table and of course I did the dishes and cleaned up...my part for not cooking. MIL was very tired and of course got upset because of her declining health and had to have a little cry once or twice...but we made out fine and like I said, I enjoyed it. I ate a bite of everything (bad for the diet, but it is a holiday!! I deserve a treat), very tiny amount of mashed pototoes, did kinda pig out on the dressing...it was so yummy....turkey doesn't hurt, so ate a good bit of that, green beans are good for you...I passed on rolls and had no dessert...so overall, I wasn't such a bad girl, but I still got to say I ate and enjoyed myself. Mac, I KNOW you would help my Mom, that is so sweet of you....she would love you as much as I do, I just know it.

So, we are proving grounds now for pictures??? LOL.... Have fun shopping in the a.m. mac, it will be crazy, but somehow I think you like that!!! 4GB did you decide yet if you are going? Oh your son will be a pro after one day of work on Black Friday...you get with the program real quick...LOL...this is #10 for me, so I'm a vet now What type of work is he doing? I know you said he was being over-scheduled... All of us are working tomorrow too, DH, and my son (the mortgage/tax business never stops...lol). Hubby is working his day off, holiday pay....YIPPEE...

I believe mac that ocm was leaving around 3 p.m. for Disney...she had to see her Mom off at the airport and they were leaving from there....lucky girl...they will have so much fun.

mic, i 'm proud of you, you take good care of your mil and i know you don't do it just for the dressing............i took a pass on potatoes and rolls. it didn't go good with pie.

where is our jules today? last i heard she was peeling apples.

i might go to bed early tonight. i am pooped.

yea, i guess the person with the pic hit the wrong test board...........she will be a one time wonder here.
