last year i started dec 23..........................that's when the kids finally gave me their lists....................

everything else i had for them went back to the stores.

Mac - you are too kind. I would have said too little too late my friend. You didnt get me your list in a timely fashion..you'll get what I bought. And you have to like it too!!:p

october 1 day one of the trip

went to bed at midnight 9/30 as it took me that long to get laundry done for the ones left behind.............as if they would change their clothes much with me gone.

had to get up at 3:30 to drink coffee for at least 30 minutes to get my eyes opened and focussed......then dressed and suitcases in the car.
at 4, got dh up so he could drive me to ohare.
left the house at 4:30, would have left earlier but dh dragged his feet saying, you don't have to get there that early, we have lots of time.
At ohare at 5:30 and the line for check in for the 7:25 flight already out the door.
guess who did not get a good bye kiss................

through the line and through security check in 40 minutes. spent the next hour being miserable and listening to screaming children and spouses fighting over what they forgot to pack for the kidlettes..........

figured i would eat at mickey d's since the grub on the plane was peanuts and soda. plane boarded early and left on time. in orlando at 11:10 but sat on the plane for 15 minutes as the gate wasn't cleared.

no wait for my town service...........but he wouldn't let me keep the sign with my name on it.............did a stop on universal blvd at publix for a few items and at all stars within 15 minutes. my driver drove very fast............but he had religious music on so i figured we wouldn't get in an accident.
once at the hotel, checked in, and of course the room was not ready, its never ready when i get there. ate at the food court then the room was ready. everyting to the room and ready to go play. wow,,,84 degrees not like it was back home.

took the first bus that came up to the all stars and got on. didn't have plans the first day so i figured whatever bus came first was the place i would go to.
started laughing while i was on the way to the magic kingdon....i couldnt believe i actually was there and the fam back home didn't know. sure hope i wasn't in any accident while i was there, kind of hard not to let them know where i was then.
mk closed early 6 due to mnsshp so when i left there, walked over to the contemporary and took the first bus that came . this time it was dtd. stayed there until midnight and came back to allstars...........exhausted.

day 2: decided to go to animal kingdom, figuring that it would be empty and it was. not humid at all that day. lots of walking and felt something pull in my ankle but ignored it,.......on vacation, ran away from home, nothing would prevent me from stopping.
did the lion king festival twice, boy i love this place. always sit in a different section each time to get a better angle/view of it all. the best is the warthop section. the monkeys skit faces that direction , so does the fire twirler person.

ate at flame tree, another winner for me.. i still had my coupons for the meal deal from a year ago, just found them in the bottom of a drawer in my bedroom. i know, i just haven't gotten around to cleaning and sorting it out yet, but back to this, the place accepted the coupons........didn't plan to come back to AK after this day so used the other old coupons to get bottled water. why i did that i just don't know. must be the female in me. couldn't let those coupons go to waste and not use them.........walked back to the bus with three bottles of water which i later just left in my room the rest of the stay.
i would have bought the mickey bars but they would have melted and i was tired of ice cream at that point. yea, second day and tired of ice cream. since i didn't have my kids with me, i ate what i wanted when i wanted and already had ice cream for breakfast......

anyway, took the bus to the hotel and then switched to mgm.........went to tower of terror, my home away from home. i just adore this ride, if i could put that ride in my back pocket and take it home with me , i surely would.
did dinner at hollywood and vine which was a big mistake. i had my ps for each day set up in advance and have always enjoyed that place.
the server wasn't a nice cm. the hostess walked me to my table. which by the way was a half table. you know the ones by the low wall that separtes the two sides from the other and the table has two chairs only, yea, those half tables.
the hostess tells me to sit and wait for the server for my drink order. i sit for 10 minutes and she doesn't come. the hostess notices and comes back for my drink order and tells me to go ahead to the buffet line.
i have been to the buffet line twice,( i was very hungry.........) before the cm comes to me for a drink refill. never does she clean my half table. when i hit the ice cream section, i had to stack my own plates for her.........
the cm comes to my table 25 minutes after i arrived and gives me the bill.
she doesn't come back.
i go to the cm up front to pay for my diner and she tells me i need to give it to my cm. whoa nellie....................no way jose..........i pay her and leave.

didn't stay for fantasia as seen it before and it doesn't thrill me.
starting to do serious shopping at mgm...........

after that, did my fave rides and attractions and back on the bus to the room. foot is killing me at this point.
stay tune for day 3 and the mnsshp unless you are tired of this and want me to quit and just high light what i ate, what i rode, and who i did.

gay cousin and friend come along on day 8

had to edit some of the typo errors, driving me nuts.........

yea, that was a thought, but i have to live with them.......................i can hear the whinning now if i did that.

whinning is the one and only thing i did not tolerate with my boys.
now when they do that, it's like white noise to me.

looks like i goofed.............i thought i was quoting ocm's statement of blah blah, too kind.......live with what i get you..............post.
bbut pam's is good also. doesn't make sense with my counter post , but a good one.

okay, i started to post my trip report and you all scamper away...................bbl.
going to pick up the dvd Glory at the library........ordered it a few days ago and just got a call that its in.

of course, as soon as i leave my computer at home, some else here will lay dibs to it and i won't get back on it until after dinner.

could always go use the computer at the library................

sorry for the typos in the report. was rushing..........
teachers shouldn't mispell words.............

Sounds like fun so far. I love ToT also. I could ride it all day but I would rather not have seat belts. Lap bars were better, or even better than that just pad the roof and go for broke :teeth:

yea, i call TOT my other home.

my record for riding it is 12 times in a row.
ride, get off, go back to the front, ride, get off,,...........you get the picture.

i get the GAC so its on the ride, off the ride, etc with no down time.

Oh Mac - i love the trip report! Sounds like it was an eventful day. Tower of terror is great!!

But the question on everyone's mind...which town car service did you use?

i can tell you about it privately.

evening...OH MAC, I love your report...it makes me feel like I'm right there with you...tell us more...

as for Christmas shopping, for the little ones, I usually shop all year long...LOL...whenever something good is on sale at my store, I pick it up and put it away for birthday or Christmas. I've been shopping the last few weeks too for others...I have to get a handle on stuff, working retail sure cuts into a gals free time...and by the time I'm done waiting on cranky people, I'M CRANKY and don't want to do the shopping I have to do..;)

did Ed say skeletons....

OK, my DIL and I were looking for toys online and IM'ing and she sent me this and said "don't you think this thing is creepy"??

yikes, what the heck????

Toddlers love pony rides on the knees of loved ones. They will really love them when on this Po-Knee plush toy. Use the straps to secure PO-Knee to your leg and saddle up the young one for a gentle ride. When you squeeze the pony's ear, it activates realistic galloping and neighing sounds. Sure to provide hours of memory-making moments..

ok, then to make us laugh even more, my son says that some guy was selling them on the corner up from where he was working today....bizarre..............................

and if you own one of these and you like it...I'm sorry...its bizarre to me...LOL

Why cant they just make the whole horse instead of a strap on?? Wouldnt it be more appealing?

What the heck!!! Isn't that what those springy horses are for so you don't have to break your leg with pony rides?

I'm sorry guys, that Po-Knee thing has me cracking up...I can't help it...it is too bizarre looking for me.... :teeth:
