OMG!! Where is that from? I remember it was a segament in a show...and it was the only part of the show i liked!

I dont remember space coaster at all..was that the name of the show?

ANd yes electric typewriters I actually did my school reports on one of these while in high school.

Ok onecool, you always make me laugh...then I realize you make me feel old....ah yes, typewriters DID plug in...I learned typing on a manual...guess you don't know what that is either...LOL...then my first job I was SOOOOO excited that I had an IBM electric typewriter....I thought that was way cool....

Froggy, we got the light installed....it is one of those 4 ft. long kitchen ceiling lights...and it actually fit the spot the old one came out of....and we had some colorful language during installation process... but that is how DH works...he has NO patience at all...the bathroom faucet fixture is a replacement also, so hoping that won't be toooooo awful bad....couldn't let him work on that as little guy is napping upstairs and wouldn't want him repeating anything he might hear....LOL..... Most of the problem is in the fact that our house is sooooo old....that nothing just "fits" or goes into place easily or is of a standard size....I've survived all these years so one or two more handyman rages doesn't bother me...

ocm, not sure of the show you are talking about, but I bet my son does...he has the memory that lasts forever about movies, tv and quotes from all that stuff...I'll lay that one on him when he gets home...see what he says....although he would have only been 2 at the time ed is quoting...LOL

Gotta run to grocery store and then get dinner...see ya guys later...

have made many after hours late evening calls to repair what the home owners tore up trying to change one of those out (even had one homeowner that broke his water meter trying to turn it off till i could get there,, when i arrived we called city asap,, he had water shooting 50 ft in the air)

Mic - you would have to ask your older one...I am going to ask my brothers. I looked up The Great Space Coasters and Gary Gnu was the only one i recognized..but Kevin Clash was the voice of one of the other puppets and we all know who he is.

Good afternoon everyone. Hey i learned how to type on and electric typewriter. I took a typing class back in junior high(so i must be old too)
I faintly remember Gary Gnu. I think he signed off with "thats the news with Gary Gnu." or something like that. Isnt it amazing how you forget about something and a picture can bring back so many memories.

it rained here all darn day...........but i still did the shopping......

even hail doesn't keep me in the house when i want to shop. a tornado might though.

it was good to hear what all of you were doing today. congrats adam on the promo. what do you do?? what type of work are you in?

ok gang, i'm passing comp over to mrs frog tonight shes having a chat get together with some of our oldest net friends and will have the comp for the next few hours not sure if she'll sign in here or not but will be the one here at keyboard behind the messengers we had a bad day, still no work in to do and another bills ready for pay or lose so i borrowed 2 grand and am going to get caught up in morning

I'm not hiding, I've been wrapping presents all evening...whew..got a good chunk done...odds and ends now...big stuff...DONE...... I'm happy about that...

Froggy, that was nice of you to hand the keyboard over to Mrs. Frog...she must not have chatted too long....she needs to chat with us....the chatter never ends.... And I hope your work picks up for you...

Think I'm off to bed, see you guys tomorrow...another full day for me I'm sure...must pick up little guy from pre-school, so have partial morning free....

mac, what did you buy...I mean see at Sam's today? Did you drop a wad like I always do?? Go in for one or two things and come out with 95 items...never fails...Target and Wal-Mart enjoy seeing me park in their lots too...especially at this time of year...
