So M4E have you stayed at every resort? Disney is really fun and for now, it is great for all of us. When the kids get older, I would like to take them to Paris and London and Manila. Actually, what we would like to do is stop on the way to manila and go to Tokyo Disney on the way and then hawaii on the way back. But the kids really will have to be about 6-9. It is a 17 hour plane ride with layovers and really too exhausting for little ones.

I have stayed at CR and all the moderates. Very nice places. Our goal is to have stayed at every resort eventually. But I would like to see the Disney's around the world. You went on the cruise. That is awesome, one thing that I want to do, but I havent yet. I want to wait until my kids are big enough to do the activites. but I bet it is a blast.

We go by ourselves so we can just do whatever we want too. I am not usually a big eater, but this past time..WOW.. I think we tried almost every country sit down restaurant:p

Which is your favorite restuarant?

Hi Jules...:wave2: darn server wouldn't let me back on...

UPDATES: got AOL straightened out, and why do our calls get anwered in India????, got second dedicated computer phone line disconnected, and router is working....yeah....ok, back to WDW chat..

No, haven't stayed in all resorts, but have been IN all of them...we've done Port Orleans (when it was still called that), Poly, AKL, WL, All-Star Sports, and Disney Institute (when it was till that), we had a suite cause after the cruise we had BIL/SIL with us, and we got a nice loft type room...it was cool, could walk to Downtown Disney. I don't have the kind of $$ to travel the world, but sure do think it is great and hope you can do all that with your kids someday....before I was married I went to Hawaii, it was wonderful....

Well, restaurants...let's see, I like O'Hahnas, hubby likes the one in Japan, where they do the food on the grill in front of you, name escapes me right now...we Liberty Tavern and Crystal Palace. For a light meal we like the Plaza on Main St. in MK....we've done Princess Breakfasts when meeting up with our friends, and we've done other character ones too...all are fun. Goofy's Breakfast out in CA far surpassed Chef Mickey's in my book, we had the best time..here is a pix from that, I've got a couple other cute ones with grandson having a blast

It wasn't letting me on either :p~ glad you got things straightened out. They answer in India

Aww <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_203.gif' alt='Sunshine' border=0></a> what a geat picture ::yes::

You have more? I'd love to see them ::yes::

there is a story to our being with Mickey...my DIL, myself & grandson went into some place in Toontown, were just fooling around, big boys were waiting outside, when a cast member came up and said, "follow me please", so we followed on this long walk through aisles and into a room, we walked in, there was Mickey and we were all alone with him!!! OK, he is my favortie, I was happier than grandson! When we got outside, we were all excited, and the big boys thought we were nuts...but it was something special, not rushed and Mickey spent a good bit of time with grandson too. One of those memories you keep always...:p

awwwwwwwww soooooooo cute :sunny:

I especially love that second pic ::yes::

I'd love to go to Disneyland some day :), actually I want to do what OCM wants to ~ go to all the parks. I've wanted to do that since I went to "the World" last year and spent lots of time watching the resort chanels (all my friend did was sleep  )

That is so awesome! What a nice surprise :earsgirl: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

OCM I love WL I stayed there just after it opened, I was working for a travle agency at the time and won the trip. Disney put on a tacky tourist party for the agency and I won.
It was 3 mos after I got married. My parents have been there in Dec. say the Christmas lights are beautiful at the Lodge.

I stayed mostly at Fw when we went but I've stayed at Golf Resort (SOG now) and CR and POFQ

And dont get me started on why American service calls are being answered in India, and they have nerve to call themselves America on line, now I hate them even more!

well, about the one good thing about my son moving to the southwest is that we've been able to do some things on that side of the country!!

I figured while we were there, being only about a 7 hr. drive from Disneyland, I was going to do it, not knowing if I ever would be able to again. I had made up my mind going that I would NOT compare it to WDW, cause I knew it would be different, but I just fell in love with it. Much less of a "resort" feel than Florida, more of a theme park, plopped in the city with some Disney hotels around it...LOL...but still, it is so small and comfy feeling, plus I knew that Walt himself walked around there....I know...pretty lame huh?? It was perfect for grandson too, he was only a little over 2 years old, so not tons of walking like at WDW....he was so good. It was the year the Angels went to the World Series, so we were in the mix of all the festivities right outside the hotel at the Calif. Downtown Disney, could see it all from our balcony....big boys were into all that...it was exciting...

We actually were on Baseball Tonight, they were doing a taping at California Adventure and we got seated for the show and got to see the announcers and all...again, all pretty cool for baseball fans, which we are:p

Ok, the guy (Simon???) was really nice and helpful, but sheesh, we couldn't understand hardly anything he said, and had to keep saying, "excuse me, could you repeat that"...plus the connection tells me it WAS India....no doubt in my mind....:(

we visited the WL at the holidays, and your parents are correct, the tree decorated is awesome, HUGE in the lobby....I love it there too.

ed, if you watch Baseball Tonight, you will recognize these three:

Carl, Soup and Harold

I have a story about this. (I always have a story:p ) Anyway, both my mom and my aunt were having problems with their computers. So, they put in service calls to AOL. My mom got called at 2am and a week later my aunt at 3am. Both were from India. My mom is extremely polite and she is like, "could you please call back another time..I am sleeping right now." My brother was at my aunts house and lets just say..Ed he had your sentiamnts and expressed himself..rather bluntly to these people and told them in no uncertain terms what he would do if they ever called back at 3am.:p

M4E - i loved your mickey story and the pictures are soo adorable! What cuties your grandkids are. I love that you share your pictures.

As far as traveling the world, yes, I would love to do that. But the places I mentioned were where DH and I lived. All of his family is still in Manila (execpt for his mom) and I have family in London. I lived in Lourdes and Paris for a little while, so I am really just selfish and want mykids to see where I lived.:p :p

Disney is just a way to break the trip up so they have some fun too.:p I have been trying to get to Australia to see where my mom lived for a while, but it is such a long flight and family finctions, college and life always seems to get in the way. Maybe when the kids are gone.

My brothers are world travelers. They have gone by themselves (at different times) all over Europe, South America, and Asia. They just travel and stay in the hostiles. It amazes me, I couldnt travel like that, but they are much more educated than I am for having expirinced the sites. Oh well, I might get there someday..but I will be in nice hotels.:p My one brother just got back from teaching in Poland (volunteer) and then he went on to see Russia. I tell you, they are fascinating people.;)

onecool, I'm so glad I've met you...you and your family are very interesting and fascinating to read about....we are just ole boring people....so we'll live through your adventures!!! LOL

Your Mom was much more polite than I would have been if they had called me at that hour about a tech problem...sheesh, they should take that into account before calling...I really should just drop aol, but I'm such a creature of habit and I have SOOOOO much tied to my email etc., I just hate to redo it all....I know...change is good....change is good...if I say it enough, I'll convince myself!:p

I have Cousins in the Phillipines. ::yes::

List of place I've been:
Hawaii (Kauai, Big Island), San Diego, Phoenix (love the Desert SW),Grand Canyon north rim,Bryce Canyon, Zion Canyon, Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, Kansas, Grand Cayman, Aruba, Grenada, Antigua, Cruise(Aruba,St Thomas, BVI,Curaco), Tampa, Orlando, Washington DC ;) , Baltimore, New York City, Toronto, Montreal, Niagra Falls, all over New England

WOW ED! You are a traveller too! See, I have only been to places I have lived (with the exception of Asia.) That is so amazing all the places you have been.

M4E - My mom hasnt dropped it yet, but my aunt did the next day. AOL is horrible. And you have been to some very cool places that I have never been to. I have only been to San Fran and LA, but you have been all over the west and Ed too.

So, I think you all are very cool and I know who to go to when I travel again.:D
