jr has to earn min. of $600 for his trip end of April (they handed him candy bars, chocolate covered pretzels, hoagie sale info & blub orders for flowers); think i'll probably just be forking over the dough. I hate sic'ing him on relatives & neighbors, wish they'd have an organized event like yinz guys had.

mic - hair really sounds nice, i was so resistant to getting carmel in my hair; shocked how the color doesn't look the same as in the bowl . Def sounds great to be spry....something about that word that i like!

mac - i like the name of the polish dude too - my people

lori - they did a series of hip/pelvis xrays on mom & announced the broken hip, i even picked out an orthopedic surgeon & rehab facility....2 hours later the surgeon orders a CAT scan & then they find out the hip wasn't broken...just severe arthritis & sore from the fall. At that point she started to have chest pains (me too lol) and they transfer her to a telemetry unit @ another hospital. Not that it wasn't good news, just the fact that they are complete idiots - yet again.

How many kids are going on the trip? Maybe they should do some big fund raiser instead of trying to do it with candy bars & such.

Our dinner was catered by Johny Carino's. They only charge us $2 a serving. Also another organization has been doing lunches on a regular basis. They did some sort of Mexican lunch Friday & raised $875 from just a couple of hours. That is just from serving teachers, a few kids & some of the few business owners we have here in town. Maybe the group could get together and do some lunches or dinners.

It's sunny & 60, so what did i do today...

went shopping ds outgrew most of his shirts & has decided he wants collared polos...least he looks neat.

got a bunch @ Ross for $20 only problem, a hole in the nicest one from the security tag ; guess i'll just have to run back up

lori - not many kids in the district qualified for the national tournament, probably only 20 going, will share bus with another district in western pa-somewhere i suppose. academics always seem to the short shift in funding in our district.

Evening...ended up getting a pile of work plopped on my desk after I posted, so the afternoon ended up going by pretty quickly...that's ok, I like when it goes fast...still have a couple odds and ends on my desk for in the a.m.

Just another Monday...no one really likes them and everyone is cranky

Guess it got to around 70 degrees today...won't get used to it, still some winter left around these parts I'm sure. Should be done with snow and ice, but it can still get darn cold in March and April.

Not sure what I'm watching tonight, need to hop on the old bike, took yesterday off.....

temp dropped 30 degrees overnight (boo-hoo); mic said not to get used to it...should've listened. stepped in the grass this am & sunk up to my ankles...supposed to get 2 inches of rain today...getting ready to go to the basement to make sure nothing is on the floor - know it's going to get wet

shocked my mom told me yesterday she had started to exercise "just a bit" mostly stretching...on her own ; she really doesn't want to go to PT lol

our Big Ben signed an 8 year $102 Million contract ; $25 M just for signing & another $11 guaranteed...this country's priorites are whacked

please do!! If it wasn't for the convention rate I booked (had to join the american library association & pay for conference) we wouldn't be staying there...very pricey; we got it for ove 1/2 off rack for "run of the house" room probably facing a dumpster/parking lot view lol

driving to Grand Canyon for 1 day, then back to Vegas/Luxor for 2 nights & off to Anaheim (hope we're not being overly ambitious-they say a 5 hr drive 1 way from Vegas to GC?)...as long as things hold @ home it should be grand indeed.

Those Ding dates don't work for me but I'm ever hopeful something will open up a bit for our return...I'm sorta ok with the outbound as it is a Friday and holiday weekend....but I'll keep an eye peeled...AND I downloaded Ding on my work computer...OH BAD ME

Let me go into my shutterfly and see what I have from DL and I'll pm you a link...excuse any dorky family photos It is pricey...the only reason we got concierge was my discount when I worked at the Disney Store and we needed a room that would sleep 4 adults and a child...I got it for 50% off which was still like $200 a night, I wouldn't do it again but it was a treat for sure. Those hotels are pricey and to me, not really worth it, it is not the 'resort' atmosphere of WDW...but you will love it, I'm sure.

I could use that much money in my lifetime. But I would use it for good. I would love to be able to start my own charity or foundation so I could run multiple charities. Unfortunately that kind of money usually goes to selfish people, not the ones that would do good with it.

dave just took his final test today and he passed He will officially start going into work tomorrow.

our weather has been pretty crazy too. Sat. was beautiful...the kids played outside alot. Sunday dave said it was cold. It dropped 30 degrees in 2 hours. Now it is in the 20's-40's but it is suppose to be nice again this weekend.
