TEST (part 2)

Good Afternoon Everyone!

You two in Atlanta today, if you feel the need to visit Babyland General (birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kids) or any of the other tacky tourist traps in my area (Helen) please let me know. I would be happy to provide an irritable two year old as your tour guide. ;)

It is a rainy day here today and we don't get enough of those, so I won't complain. However, since I have been battling the "blahs" for a couple of days, the weather isn't helping.

I enjoyed the Super Bowl. The game was actually quite exciting and, in my experience, that doesn't happen too often. The commercials weren't quite as great as I'm used to. I usually come away with 2 or 3 ads that just blew me away. This year, I can name several that I thought were funny, but nothing really wowed me.

Now, Lori & I can gear up for Nascar. The season starts in under 2 weeks.

I hope everyone gets healthy. Do NOT spread any germs my way. Everyone in my house is well at the moment. We are hoping to go to Daytona in 11 days. Cross you fingers and knock on wood and whatever else you can think of.

I hope everyone has a good day!

KS, sorry to hear you are having double doses of sadness:hug: really sorry to hear the news of both passings

Must be the season of sickness, I'm fighting a cold, I'm so sleepy right now cause I took antihistamine pills so my nose wouldn't run...not running, but my head wants to fall over asleep:upsidedow My stomach muscles hurt from coughing so much also.....and an FYI, the Vicks on the bottom of your feet does help with nighttime coughing...I tried it, it works:thumbsup2

Have fun Tony, and spoil the kiddoes tons

Speaking of Nascar, I saw where a guy died at Richard Petty Driving Experience, and it was a birthday gift from his family, now how sad is that

thanks, doesn't look as though DH can get off work; not inclined to bring down employer's wrath by skipping out-what can u do? Know Da wouldn't care one way or the other;) Huge family, they'd do fine.

sooooo, u packed yet:banana:

i just canna get fired up over nascar:guilty: vroom-vroom

ocm - enjoy ur day off

pam - foot any better?

So, if you aren't going to the funeral, does that mean SIL isn't either? Will you guys be her excuse for not attending?

You don't have to get fired up over Nascar. I get excited enough for at least 3 people. You can use one of my credits.

Afternoon all :) I would have checked in this morning, but we (Ryan and I, that is) were off to Little Gym this morning early. We just got home (after a stop-over at McD's) and he's napping, so I have a few minutes. :)

Pam -- I start tomorrow morning. I may be scarce a couple days a week now.

Good weekend, especially for Cam. He got his first ever Top 3 finish in a TKD tournament this weekend in Pittsburgh (3rd in Forms), scoring a huge trophy which has now become his most prized possession. :goodvibes And then he scored 3 baskets in yesterday's basketball game. :thumbsup2

Great Super Bowl -- one of the best in recent years. :thumbsup2 It was fun last night, Cam was totally into it -- rooting for the wrong team (Pats), however. ;) We were ragging on each other all night -- well, up through the 3rd quarter, when he had to get to bed. The first thing he asked this morning was, "Who won?" I enjoyed filling him in on the end. ;) :p

bob--i know what you mean. The boys are at the age now where dave is in heaven talking about all the sports. Noah knew who won last night his big question was who won the car?! I bet it will be nice for you to start back a few days a week. Where is ryan going to go while you are working now? Will he be in school?

ks--that stinks that dh can't get off work. I am sure you will both be there in spirit. The foot is still about the same. I said I was going to go to the gym and see if i could ride a bike or lift some wieghts but I haven't yet. Whenever I say that it starts hurting just by walking around...i think my foot has ears:confused3

I used to get into nascar but have not followed it as close in the last few years. I know who all the big names are. I know KA is a big nascar fan.

mic--i hope you kick your yuckness before you go and visit your mom. Maybe you need some good sun to get rid of it.

ocm--has it been about 3 wks. for nico?

mac--i am sure you will get LOTS of offers to take your sh spot!:upsidedow

Dave just called our friend and he is going to call in something for Noah. He says if he doesn't get better with this round of meds then we need to bring him in and see if he may need his tonsils out:guilty: He said it could be that he just didn't have enough meds to kick it the first time. I hope that is what it is.

Where is ryan going to go while you are working now? Will he be in school?

He'll be on his same schedule as before -- going to preschool Tues-Thurs. I was just using those days the past few months to get stuff done around the house, so now I'll have to be a little more efficient with my time (like not being on-line during naps ;) :rolleyes1 )

So, if you aren't going to the funeral, does that mean SIL isn't either? Will you guys be her excuse for not attending?

You don't have to get fired up over Nascar. I get excited enough for at least 3 people. You can use one of my credits.

hmmm...i'll let my DH call his sis & break the news:rolleyes1 ; i'm a chicken

i'm with u in spirit as to nascar, even though i struggle to keep everyone straight:confused: ; think my brain's too full of football to expand anymore

yes keisha, going to see my brother.
tix were not a deal but he can set me up with a great discount for our hotel.
locals get special discounts on the rooms.
little known secret.......

 Yay you!!!

mac, I may ride a bit yet this evening, but I've pretty much vegged the whole weekend watching TV as I have this chest congestion crap...my energy is nada......I feel bad not doing it, so I may yet sit on it for at least a couple miles, I won't feel so guilty if I make the peddles go around a couple times....

Can't believe the weekend is over already, my time flies, even when we aren't having fun

mac, when is the trip to Hawaii? and is mr. mac going along too? I'm happy for you getting to spend time with your family and in such a gorgeous place. I was in Hawaii........big drum roll please.........in 1970 !! and get this, our trip was $635 which was airfare from Philly to Hawaii, hotels for 14 days, which included island hopping (by plane), a couple dinner shows and some tours...can you imagine that meager amount for all that :goodvibes a girl I went to school with and I went after landing our first jobs as a vacation to ourselves. I would love to go back, but probably can never afford it again.

Hope you are feeling better today....chest colds are THE worst :sad2: That was a sweet deal for your trip to Hawaii....suffice to say, probably won't EVER see those prices again...

at this point i don't want to take mr mac on my trip.

he was working on the taxes today and has become a poop head.....

"poop-head" eh.... :scratchin

SHUT UP PATRIOTS...YOU AREN'T THE BEST TEAM IN HISTORY AFTER ALL..

Yeah...ya cheaters! :snooty:

Tricia and Barb - don't forget to check in or bring a note for the teacher.

Oh...sorry....

Dear Sweet....
Please excuse Barb from being absent lately. She was job hunting cuz she knew she was getting fired today.

(How's that?)

As far as being fired...it's okay...I knew it was coming. I did nothing wrong and I did the 'right' thing.... I'm good and start another job in it's place Monday :thumbsup2

ed--sorry your team didn't win last night. Trent and Noah was going for the team that won so i guess it was a happy time in our house. I watched it but didn't care who won...not a football fan ya know?!

I'm dumb...I always root for the 'underdog'....and cuz I don't like the Pats :snooty: and (sorry, this may sound mean), but I also didn't want them to win because then all I would have heard about was their "perfect" season.... :headache: So, now they went undefeated the whole season for nuthin' ....they didn't win it all :) Sorry if you're a Pats fan, but that's my "green" blood speakin' :rolleyes1

You two in Atlanta today, if you feel the need to visit Babyland General (birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kids) or any of the other tacky tourist traps in my area (Helen) please let me know. I would be happy to provide an irritable two year old as your tour guide. ;)

Uh...you have boys....should I worry you are offering to be tourguide to Cabbage Patch plant? Remind me to tell you interesting story about those cabbages....

Speaking of Nascar, I saw where a guy died at Richard Petty Driving Experience, and it was a birthday gift from his family, now how sad is that

 That sux! What happened? :confused3 I had a client do that one year...it said it was way wicked! Was this recently? I missed that story.....

You don't have to get fired up over Nascar. I get excited enough for at least 3 people. You can use one of my credits.

Tricia....knowing how much you like the NASCAR, I'll let you have my excitedness :hyper: (but share with Lori if she wants some ;) )

Afternoon all :) I would have checked in this morning, but we (Ryan and I, that is) were off to Little Gym this morning early. We just got home (after a stop-over at McD's) and he's napping, so I have a few minutes. :)

How funnie your little one is "Ryan"....so is my Bubba....his name is "Ryan" also

Dave just called our friend and he is going to call in something for Noah. I hope that is what it is.

:wizard: Hope he feels better....sore throats are only good for 1 thing..... cold treats :teeth: ....ice cream, popscicles, jello...etc.....

The Richard Petty DE accident happened today I believe, not sure of particulars, didn't go back and read the article after first seeing it...probably something freak about it all

http://www.orlandosentinel.com

Pam, sorry about the tonsils, but sometimes its better to get those things yanked and not have to worry about them

Ok, got a little work to do, so I'm off of here

Bob, sounds like you are gonna be a busy bee with the kids, housework and working part time again...you can do it:hug:

skool bell rang and now i have to ketchup on the reading.

i really shouldn't be mis spelling words on purpose.
in the note to the teacher today, i wrote skool instead of school.
i went back and changed it.

it's fun for here but tacky when it's at the high school.....

Mac - probably a good idea not to misspell the word school to other teachers.

Bob - good luck at the new job. working and being a full time house-keeper and parent. I admire you..I can't do it all.

Barb - good luck to you too. I hope the new job brings much success

Mic - that is such a sad story.

Keisha - I can't get into Nascar either. Oh look..it's a left turn. Oh..another left turn. WOW they are going to keep making the same turns!! :lmao:

Just teasing those of you that enjoy it. I have never been able to enjoy it. A lot of people can't get into hockey at all and I love that.

Tricia - I'm not sure if we will get up that way this time. He is only going to be here for two days and my kids are so excited to hang out with him and beat his bootie on the WII Sports.

Pam - I hope Noah doesn't have to have the surgery. Hopefully, the second meds will be striong enough to kick the strep.

As for Mr Nico, I think he faked today. The problem is I can never tell, so I asked him, "How am I suppose to believe you next time?" I think what I am going to say is you are only allowed to miss school when you have a fever. He didn't have one today and I know he isn't faking those. Three weeks is coming up in the next 7 days, so we will see.

Now, Lori & I can gear up for Nascar. The season starts in under 2 weeks.

Yippie! :cool1:

Must be the season of sickness, I'm fighting a cold, I'm so sleepy right now cause I took antihistamine pills so my nose wouldn't run...not running, but my head wants to fall over asleep:upsidedow My stomach muscles hurt from coughing so much also.....and an FYI, the Vicks on the bottom of your feet does help with nighttime coughing...I tried it, it works:thumbsup2

That's why I have been sleepy all afternoon. Forgot I took it this morning.
Vick's on the feet works good. Hope you are feeling better.

That is very sad!

:thumbsup2

Way to go Cam! :cheer2:

Hope this dose omeds kicks it. :wizard:

hmmm...i'll let my DH call his sis & break the news:rolleyes1 ; i'm a chicken

i'm with u in spirit as to nascar, even though i struggle to keep everyone straight:confused: ; think my brain's too full of football to expand anymore

I would let dh call her too. Nothing chicken about that.

You know I wish we could do a mind cleanse every once in a while. My mind is so full of useless junk there isn't room for anything new. :upsidedow

Tricia....knowing how much you like the NASCAR, I'll let you have my excitedness :hyper: (but share with Lori if she wants some ;) )

:cool1:

Almost sounds like he had a heart attack to me. :confused3

Oh no. I've had to have the same talk with Ally. :sad2: She hates school. I have to remind her that going with the attitude that she is going to not enjoy it then that is exactly what is going to happen.

Now I hope this really goes through this time. I got all the way through and then this new super fast dis wouldn't post it. :headache:

ocm - :rotfl: luv your recap, i had to think about which way they do turn;)

pam - didn't know they pulled tonsils anymore, stock up on icecream!

mic - maybe the guy was so excited he had a heart attack (hope it wasn't fright, wonder how the family feels?)

all kiddies seem to go thru the faking skool (sorry mac-it's ingrained lol); i started to give mine dirty chores once they made their miraculous recoveries (think clean the cat box:eek: ); nipped it in the bud pronto

barb - you've set a record finally a new job:thumbsup2

ps - please leave a trail of bread crumbs for me as to the new thread...

i can't find where i wrote info down:rolleyes1

This thread is okay right where it is... right?

I don't think I can pack and move again.

The turning left thing on Nascar cracks me up. I've said before that people who don't enjoy racing just see cars going in a circle. We must seem like nuts.

Darrell Waltrips autobiography is called "A Lifetime of Going Around in Circles"... :rotfl:

I love hockey and football. Baseball is okay. Basketball is the one I don't get. When I watch basketball, I see: guy bounce ball, guy throw ball, guy makes basket... guy bounce ball, guy throw ball, guy makes basket...

Repeat for 3 hours. :faint:

I think we are sisters separated :lmao: I think the EXACT same thing

Good evening all. Hope you had a great day and an even better tomorrow.

As far as NASCAR goes, I'm a total nut. I go to 3 or 4 races a year. Have met a bunch of the drivers and went to the Champions party in December of last year in New York. Fun bunch of people to be around.

Talk to y'all later.

You should have seen the fog that Mac and I had yesterday - it was crazy!!! You could barely see to drive - unbelievable!!!!

I see us talking about NASCAR
My DH did the Richard Petty DE 3 times, and has done the Mario Andretti driving school once also - he loves loves love auto racing. In fact, he is leaving on the 15th for Florida to go see The Daytona 500, and then when May comes I never see him, because he spends every weekend down in Indianapolis and hangs out at The Indy Motor Speedway. He's a walking encyclopedia of racing, and it's really impressive. :)

Have a good day today everyone!!
