test Part 10

this morning, i had to wash the tshirt i had on last night.

it is a baby blue tshirt with lots of red balloons on it.
when i looked at it closely today, i noticed some orange type color near the balloons.

yup, spaghetti sauce.......

it never fails, that always happens to me.
i can't go anywhere nice to eat.

just wait until your kids are teens, then they really can eat.
no more of only fixing one pizza, more like 2 jumbo ones and sides to go with it.

Hi everyone. The quote above says it all. With the "extra son" my normal purchase from just the deli is 1 1/2 pounds of Virginia ham, 1 1/2 pounds of German Bologna, 1 pound of Turkey Breast, 1 pound of Salami and 1 Pound of "Land O Lakes white american cheese"! That's EVERY week!!!! My God, I'm going to go broke on lunchmeats alone!!!

Sorry I haven't been around much. I still have a "favorite" test thread bud and just wanted to give her a "shout out"...Mac, you are the best. You have my back every Sunday and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers every day. You are truly one special lady and I for one am grateful to have you in my life!

It's almost time to start thinking about a test thread meet sometime next year. I had a chance to meet most of you but I want MORE!!! Let's start throwing out some dates. I've met some of you but I would love to meet the rest of y'all. You seem like family to me.

evening all!

I started playing volleyball tonight and i have to say i am in PAIN!! I went to tip the ball over the net and heard my finger pop...it is all swollen and hurts to bend it now:sad1: I jammed her good. On another not...WE WON!!!!:cheer2: We are a new team this year so i was worried on how we would play together but we did pretty good.

gant--that is very nice of you to say. i didn't know you had a favorite though:sad2:  just teasin' ya!
I agree with ya...i am ready for another meet!

i'm ready for a meet also.

i am going to visit my brother in the spring for about 8 days.
we don't have a definite date set up yet but i think it will be early april.

that would be the one time i am not available for a meet.
january is not a good month to travel out of chgo airports due to unpredictable weather. so that month would not be best for me.

other than that, i'm kewl with the group on meeting up!

pam, i sent gant some dale earnhardt sr notecards.
he loves them as that dude is his favorite.
that's why today i'm the "special one".

pam, even with a jammed finger your team won.
way to go......:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

did you pull the finger out to unjam it?
that's what i have done before and it worked.
you will still be swollen but less pain in the joint.

tell you what, i'll ride my bike over to your place and pull your finger for you.
of course, if i start now, i should be at your place in 4 days.......
keep the dog tied up so i don't get scared:rolleyes1

don't ever forget.

September 11th, 2001

Good morning friends...it is a day of remembering for sure..

Good to see everyone dropping in, and Pam, ouch on the finger, how is it this morning?

A meet?? Sounds good to me...have not idea what we have planned next year, no doubt our usual Florida in Feb/March, and of course at some point AZ, but that is always up in the air.

Rainy morning here, and kinda humid, started raining last evening around 9 p.m. or so

Spaghetti, I LOVE spaghetti, but I try and stay away from it....this weekend is our getaway, so won't be making any, but might be up for homemade sauce the following weekend. I like it cause it takes me through several meals for the week. Gant, I know what you mean about boy's and what they can put away. I used to always kid we needed to buy a cow for milk and a chicken for eggs ;)

More later, gots to mooooove along

Good morning everyone. My company is having a moment of silence this morning for the 9-11 victims. I'll never forget. 6 years ago today, I was at MGM Studios munching on a turkey leg when a CM came up to my family and said we had to leave the park immediately. When we got back to Fort Wilderness, we saw the news on TV. I sent the kids out to the pool and sat there stunned. I remember it like it was yesterday.:sad1:

morning - it is a day to remember:sad2: ; we're not too far from shanksville. Thankful that the plane didn't go down over our house. We live on top of one of the highest mts surrounding PIT, never noticed how many commercial planes would fly over...until air traffic was grounded that day. Eerily quite except for the sound of the big govt. planes heading east.:scared:

gant - had to be doubly troubling knowing you were away from home, did you have to fly back shortly thereafter?

pam- way to go! icy hot & lots of motrin:thumbsup2 am i the only one laffing about the "pull my finger comment";) ; must come from livin in a house of men...usually run away fast when i hear that line.

mac - we rarely eat pasta, family feels so unloved when we do:confused3 . I think it's fab! speaking of fab, i too have ruined many a fav. shirt while scarfing pasta...at home we all tend to revert to our roots & tuck in a dish towel:laughing: . We have segued from eating out of the same pot - evolution.

mic - :woohoo: to you too! sure not easy to stick to it.

I have to guage how dear old mom's hanging in there (surprisingly good lately! dr put her on a pricey new "miracle pill" yesterday, hope it helps her); and need to have a "babysitter" lined up; keep me posted - probably will have to play it by ear/see which way the wind is blowing then. mid june on is busy for us, nephew's wedding & probable vacation; not sure about rest of the summer...keep me posted.

morning all!

Sept. 11th is certianly a day of remberence. I think everyone remembers what they were doing on that day.

My finger is a little swollen this morning. I am suprised i'm not sore but when i got out of bed this morning i could barely walk. I did something to my heel.:confused3 It is the same ankle/foot that i rolled so i don't know if that has something to do with it or not....trying to decide if i should break down and go to the dr.

As far as a meet goes, what does everyone think of either next August or Sept.? Figured summer is out becuase it usually is just to stinkin' hot.
What do ya think?

i knew you would catch the "pull my finger" line keisha!
i live in a house full of menboys myself.

as long as your finger is not too swollen to type, you are doing better then.
hope the swelling goes down today.
that is not good about your ankle. i remember when it happened before.
in between you taking care of the kids today, try to elevate your foot and ice it.
thinking pixie dust for you pam

when the first plane hit, i was in the parking lot of the junior high school reporting to work.

once i was in the building, it was on lock down, i was told to put the tv on for the students when they came in to the room. we had about 30 minutes until that time.
i watched the second plane hit. devastating doesn't describe how i felt.

i had 39 8th graders that day.
it made an impact on all of them.

the only thing i did that day was reassure the kids we would be fine.
parents were coming in left and right to take their children home with them

:cool1: i caught your pull my finger line but ks beat me to it;) I am still trying to get it to pop but it just doesn't want to:confused3 It is my heel that is killing me though...dave thinks it may be bone spurs??? i need to go and reserch that because i don't really know anything about it.

I am getting ready to head out pretty soon. Malarie will be coming and staying with the kids while i go to Trent's first football game. I guess he is going to start on offense, defense, and special teams.:cool1: may be an interesting game.

bone spurs hurt.
especially when they are removed.

let's hope it is not bone spurs pam.

hope trent does great in the game!!

Mac - yep, i think i've lost my girly powers.:) long as i don't start grunting & scratching i'm ok.;)how about that 2nd Sunday night late game last night:woohoo:

Pam - i have/had bone spurs in my right heel. I use the past tense since they don't bother me much now.

(boring foot stuff ahead, unless you other testers have a fetish bail while you still can:) )

wasn't sure what it was initially, just got to the point where it hurt to put weight on foot. Thought i had a hairline Fx. Dr. sent me off for Xrays & they found problem. Sent me to orthopedic practice, told me probably from a lifetime of wearing 3 inch stilletos (bye-bye:sad1: ). In lieu of surgery, they proceeded conservatively.

PT 1st to stretch the plantar fascia (sp) sometimes helps, made mine worse.

Began series of cortisone shots in my heel to try & numb it, only worked for 3 - 4 months at a time and you can only get so many before things get "mushy"

Finally, they suggested custom orthotics; just couldn't get used to it.

Discovered Crocs approx 3 years ago and haven't needed any further treatment.

While i can't wear them everywhere, i do try. Can really feel it when i wear a pair of flip flops for a day or heels.

good luck.

Evening all.....busy day at work so didn't get a chance to get back to play...researching and pricing all the office equipment we need for the move upstairs...yikes, who thought spending money would be so much work :confused3

Pam, hope that finger and heel are feeling better. What I had removed from my toe was considered a bone spur. They are growths on bones in the feet especially. He said mine was perhaps caused from a fall or some sort of trauma to the toe and I guess its bruised inside and becomes like a calcium growth or extra bone...heel spurs are awful or so I'm told from those that have had them.....don't let it go if they are bothering you.

Off to watch Biggest Loser.......:goodvibes
