i've got to boast a bit sent for my dad's service records jik i'd need them for services for my mom, had to order for my mil & it was a mess.

my dad never spoke of the service, when pressed; would just say war was hell and that he served on a ship

turns out he was a turret gunner on the uss raymond in the phillipines during WWII; medals, ribbons, stars & citations a mile long
i'm going to request copies his grandchildren think it's so

Keisha - that is soo cool about your dad! how proud you must be and I think it is so wonderful that you are copying it all for your neices and nephews/kids. I remember sitting at my Grandfathers funeral and the stories that were being told about him a lot of his children didn't know he had done. I'm so glad you were able to find all of those things out.



I have a question for all of you. Would anyone else like to step up and collect for the birthdays? I know my spring and summer are going to be hectic and I am not going to be able to keep up with it as I should. I will still continue to contribute. First person to speak up gets the position!

Are you sure that was the thread you got reprimanded for? I actaully agree with you. When I have had stuff stolen I always tell myself that if they are stealing from me..clearly they need it more than I do.

That indeed was the thread. I got a PM referencing the link and my PM box was completey red showing no room left. When I exited out I wasn't able to access my PM box at all. That and the siggy being taken away. At least I can still post. I think it was webmaster Regina that sent me the PM.

I tried posting this afternoon at work and it was taking this so long to load, I gave up

Momma, my excercise bike is a recumbent, which means it has more of a 'seat with a back' on it then like a regular bicycle seat, and it really isn't so 'thongish' LOL...and fits my butt pretty well I got my 10 miles in tonight, I was thinking of wimping out at 8, I just wasn't with it, but I finished it......

If collecting for birthdays is getting to much for everyone, being busy and all, we can stop..no worries, or several of us together could handle it...I can't commit to doing them all as I really don't have the time to keep up with PM's etc.and being cut off from too much internet play at work ...but would gladly try and help if a couple of us do it as a team...LMK how others feel

Biggest Loser and Idol are on...so I'll tape and be switching back and forth I'm sure...I can usually watch both that way and not miss much...so many commercials...
