We're hoping to go to London in August for a couple of days as DS's are off to see Iron Maiden and we thought we'd go and see a show and then play at being tourists the next day. As we'll need 2 rooms as the boys are about 6 ft now, I thought I'd cut the cost by using my Tesco vouchers towards the hotel rooms.

Do I book direct with the hotel now and pay when we go so that I'll have even more vouchers to exchange by then or do I have to pay upfront?

I remember that a lot of the girls used their Tesco vouchers for our girlie weekend in Southampton at the Novotel. Can someone point me in the right direction please :goodvibes

Each deal is different

Some let you make a reservation and then you have so many days to send the vouchers - in which case you would book and then exchange your points for vouchers

Unfortunatley some require the voucher number before you can book so you need to check availability and then convert your points and then hope it's still there when you receive your vouchers. This usually takes 3-5 days

If the reservation has gone you can convert your vouchers back but then you can't have then until your next clubcard statement is due

Not sure if this helps you or not - but good luck - when the deals work they're fantastic. We're having a weeks family holiday in Northumberland at Spring Bank completely free :thumbsup2

Thanks for the reply.

Have been looking at Novotel and Marriott but when you click on the terms and conditions, lots of hotels are excluded from the deals. Will keep ploughing through as it could save us quite a bit.

The Marriott deal has to be booked through a separate telephone number and for a 2 day stay over the weekend eg Friday - Sunday or Saturday - Monday.

Just had an e-mail from the Novotel and you have to book that on a seperate phone number to use clubcard deals. Maybe they can tell me if I book now, can I give them the vouchers nearer the time so that I can use the ones I'll get in May too :confused3

my understanding is that you have to send them the vouchers within 5 days of booking, so you can't book in advance hoping to accumulate more. That was certainly the case with Hilton. And usually you do have to book two nights either Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun.
