Tervis

I Love Tervis, and have way too many to count! I especially love my WDW Tervis cups, and they are worth every penny to me. I found some at the Ft Myers Miromar Disney outlet a few years ago, what a great gift that made! I like the colored lids, it seems to keep the beverage cooler longer, and the cup is great if you are using it at work near a computer. BB&B has a good selection, and it is great to get Hallmark points if you purchase from their stores.

all I use are Tervis Tumblers now.. I slowly got rid of all my other glasses.. I have kept my other coffee mugs, but we do use the Tervis for our hot drinks too.. I love them.. you don't need coasters with them.. they don't sweat! we have 16oz and 24 oz sizes .... with lids, with straws.. Disney, FL Gator's, NY Met's, Breast Cancer, Holiday, Super Dad, Initial ones some with Dogs on them ..... .. plan on getting more next month too.. :thumbsup2 I get them from Bealls, Disney World, Amazon.. I have a friend who owns a store and she also orders some for me..

Does anyone know if the lifetime warranty works for drops. I had my new one a few weeks, and was entering work, tripped, fell, and the mug went flying. it's got a crack near the top and is now not airtight.

I doubt it, but it never hurts to ask the dispeeps! You folks seem to know all.

To the other poster -do not be fooled by lookalikes or copycats. They don't last as long!

You can return it for any damage as long as its marked Tervis. There are no questions asked - if you walk into a Tervis store they just give you a credit for the value of the glass and you pick one out to replace it. My family has been using these for years- Love them!

OK ... I'm going out on a limb here. I, too, love Tervis Tumblers (especially with a lid). I know of a place where you can get them cheap but I have reservations about recommending it. (I guess it really depends on how adventurous that you are.)

There is a site called QuiBids.com. It is a penny auction site. People have mixed feelings about the penny auction sales format but I can tell you that I have gotten some very good deals off of QuiBids. They auction off sets of Tervis Tumblers pretty often.

As an aside, they have an auction going on right now for a Disney vacation that "ends" in about 3 hours. It includes:

Trip for four (4) to Walt Disney World:

* Roundtrip airfare to Orlando, FL*; depart anytime between April 1 through December 31, 2011
* Includes a 5 day, 4 night stay with one (1) standard room at Disney's All-Star Music Resort
* Ground transportation from airport to resort and resort to airport on Disney's Magical Express
* Tickets to one theme park per day including Typhoon Lagoon and Blizard Beach Water Parks
* Vacation Insurance

Again, I am just letting you know about another source of Tervis Tumblers. This is NOT a recommendation of QuiBids or any other penny auction site.

Never heard of these but checked it out and...FUN!

Is there a difference between the Tervis ones and other brands? I looked on Amazon and they have Tervis and other ones. Do the Tervis ones have a place for a straw? Do you drink with the lid on?

I've seen a tumbler that someone decorated with vinyl that was cut with a Cricut. Adorable gift!

Tervis is made in the USA. :thumbsup2 That's a big enough difference for me. The lids do have a space for a straw and you can also get the big flexible scrunchy straws from tervis. If I am taking it somewhere with me I use the lid. At home I drink without it.

thank you all so much! and im drinking out of my tervis right now!!!!! hahahahah question though, what is a penny auction? i've never heard of that

I love the guarantee! They are guaranteed for lifetime and you don't need a receipt...as long as it says Tervis, they will replace it. The wear nicely, even going through the dishwasher. They do not "sweat" and sell a variety of lids:

Quality.

I love the guarantee too! I have actually sent 3 back over many years.... and they send the ones I ask for back right away, no questions asked! I've seen the "others" but always buy the real deal! :)

Hi again,

Since you asked I will give you the basics of penny auctions. (I will base this on QuiBids but I expect that others will work about the same.) As a quick disclaimer I will tell you that I spent a good bit of time watching the auctions before I made my first bid. I would advise anyone new to penny auctions to do the same. OK, here we go.

You register on the site and then you buy a block of bids. Bids cost $.60 each. When an item goes on sale (let's use Tervis Tumblers as an example to try to keep this thread on topic) people begin to "bid" on the item. Each time that you bid, it uses up one of your $.60 bids and it raises the price of the item by $.01 (hence the name penny auction). Each auction has a specific time that is ends but this time is extended by a few seconds each time there is a new bid. The auction ends when there have not been any new bids for 10 seconds.

OK, lets say that there are 40 bids on a set of 4 Tervis Tumblers and then the auction ends. The winner buys the set of tumblers for $.40 (40 one cent bids) plus shipping. Remember that the cost to the buyer of the tumblers is also $.60 times however many bids they had to make to win the auction. Let's say the winner made half of the bids. The actual cost of the set of 4 tumblers to the winner is 20 bids times $.60 ($12.00) plus the $.40 winning price plus shipping.

This is a brief explanation but you can see that penny auctions are not a simple as something like ebay. Use them with care.

And yes, they never expire!

they quit taking expired coupons at my local BBB about a year ago.

also, tervis.com has a big sale once a year -- I can't remember the percentage, but it worked out to be better than what I could at BBB, with a bigger selection.

thank you so much for the explanation of the penny bids auction, i had never even heard of that! (how sheltered am i, lolol) sounds like it would be addictive, ebay is so much fun and this seems like it would be a step up in the excitement department, i'll probably get hooked, lol
