Our unique double-wall insulation helps our drinkware reduce condensation, with very little sweat (or none at all).
Moisture between walls
Condensation should not regularly appear between the two walls. However, it can occasionally occur after the drinkware is washed in the dishwasher. Air sealed between the two layers of the cup provides the insulating barrier that keeps "hot things hot and cold things cold." That air contains a trace of moisture, which sometimes condenses between the layers after washing. It will usually go away within 24 hours or, typically, less. If there is a significant amount of moisture pooling between the walls then it may be that there is a faulty seal where the two pieces of drinkware come together, which is covered under our lifetime guarantee. Again, please see our warranty information, linked above.
Condensation can also appear around the emblem displayed between the walls of our drinkware due to the heat from the dishwasher or hot liquid poured into the vessel if there is moisture in the air when the drinkware is originally assembled here at Tervis. That air contains a trace of moisture and so does the emblem. The heat from the dishwasher or hot liquid can activate the moisture and cause condensation around the emblem. It will usually go away within 24 hours or typically less.
Sweating on outer walls
Tervis drinkware reduces sweat or condensation; it does not eliminate it. Sweating on the outside of the drinkware is affected by the temperature and humidity of the environment in which it is used.
