Terry's Marathon training thread (Comments welcome)

Terry, that's so cool that your son won his race!

The basement sounds like a real project! Good luck with it! :faint:

I think it's a good decision to do what you're comfortable with until you can get more info on SB or anything else you might like to try. ::yes::

The puppy sounds absolutely adorable, I can't wait to see the picture! Maybe you can feed the ****zu some ****ake mushrooms! :earboy2:

Sounds like your week will be a busy one, I hope it's not too crazy!

Don't forget to watch BL tonight! :jumping4:

 Hope to today is a nice calm one! Happy Wedensday!

Hi Terry,

I can't wait to see a pic of the puppy!!! The basement sounds like alot of fun  home renovation/repair is a never ending job!!!!!!

Its hard to get back in routine after a big trip, but you'll have it done in no time!

Have a great day :flower1:

Terry just do one thing at a time and I'm sure you will tackle the mountain of stuff ahead of you. I agree with your decision to stay with Flex until you have the time to dedicate learning the SB plan and to form a plan of action for it. Otherwise you may become frustrated with it altogehter.

Have a great day today!

Sounds like you have a busy week ahead of you, Terry! Take everything one step at a time and you will accomplish all that needs to get done.

I can't wait to see a picture of your puppy! Michelle's filtered post had me :rotfl: this morning !!

Have a great day, Terry! Sending :wizard: to help you get through this week! Take good care of you!

Hi Terry,
It was so great getting to meet you (ever so briefly) at Trails End!

I think the decision on waiting to start a new program until you have the time to really jump in with both feet is good. I know I dont' do well when I try to do something like that before I'm ready.

Hi Terry,

I just wanted to pop in and wish you a great weekend. How's the puppy doing?

Take care,
Beth

Hi, Terry. I'm just getting caught up on your journal and just now read your post re: the Half. :guilty: I'm so sad. I have to tell you, though, Terry--you're one classy lady. I don't know how things went that day, but here in your journal you've presented this whole thing with a great deal of grace and integrity. I'm sure you were so, so disappointed and angry--I know I would be--yet you're holding your head high. You trained for it, you walked it (and miles more). Terry, you're a winner, hands down.

Happy to hear about your puppy--a cutie, right? Enjoy! Have a good weekend. Oh, and just my 2 cents. . .I'm doing a weird kind of combo--trying to incorporate a lot of SBeach while counting those points to help with portion control. Hey, it works for me, maybe someday it'll work for you? Regardless, you'll find your way when it's the right time.

Yikes! It's 11 a.m. I've got to hit the hay before DH is up at 5 a.m.

Hugs,
Erin

Hi terry,

Just checking in with you.

Have a great weekend,
Beth

Hello everyone! Thanks for checking up on me! I haven't gone AWOL or anything... just really really really tired. If I am not chauffering someone somewhere, or doing some specific task, I seem to be napping. Every time I have sat down at the computer, I get too drowsy to read the DIS so off to the couch I go for some dream time.

My body is trying to tell me something, so I am sneaking in those naps when I can.

With all of the sleep, I feel like I am floundering in the WW area. I haven't started journaling my points or pushing the water like I did during the training. I guess I am just pampering myself this week, just not sure I need it.

I am going to take this weekend to get my ducks in a row, take my measurements :scared: so I can get back into WW mode and get to the business of SHRINKING this body!! ::nod::

PS: The puppy is fine! It is so fun to watch him (BO) play with our 3 yr old Westie, Scamp. Scamp has a ton of energy and loves running and chasing BO. I promise to post a picture as soon as I get them back from Target - which should be Tuesday afternoon.

Hi Terry :wave2: I'm new to the WISH Journals so I'm going around "visiting" everyone and seeing how things are going for them. I think your plan for next week sounds great - you'll be back in your WW routine before you know it. ::yes::

Keep listening to your body! You need the rest! I hope you are able to continue to rest this weekend! :flower1:

Good morning Terry,

I agree with Jen. Take as much rest as your body needs. You will be back in your routine before you know it!

I can't wait to see pictures of your puppy!!!

Have a great weekend and indulge in some relaxation.... ahhhhhh :cloud9:

Terry,
You have a westie too!!! So do we...we have a little old man Barkley (13 but a bundle of energy still..)who is just gonna love my efforts for the 1/2 marathon. He is sure to be a built in treadmill!!!

Hope you get to feeling better. I too have been extremely tired and can't quite figure it out. Must be the body adjusting to all this good stuff!!

Just wanted to say  and thanks for all your :cheer2: :cheer2:

You are a great encouragement to me!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

 Hi Terry,
Sorry I've been absent from here for so long. I can't wait to see the puppy pics too. I'm sure he's a little cutie pie :D .

Take care and get some rest when you can catch it. I have no doubt that your plan will be in action soon :flower1: .
