Terry Lester -- aka the old Jack on Y&R

Just found out that Terry Lester, the original Jack on the Young and the Restless, had passed away in November. Does anyone know how he died?

I read about his death somewhere (maybe in Soaps in Depth?) but I don't think they gave a cause of death. I was wondering myself because he wasn't very old.

Edited to add:
Did a google search and found this: Terry Lester. It says cause of death has not been released. He was only 53.

OMG, I can't believe he died. I used to watch Y & R when I was a kid with my grandmother. I actually stopped watching when they replaced him with "Cliff" from All My Children".

Same here. "cliff" will just never be jack to me. How sad though that he died at such a young age

OMG! I didn't know he died. He was also in the "movie" Kiss Meets The Phantom Of The Park (A true classic)

I remember him, thats sad, he was young!!!

I always look at Jack and think of Cliff too.....want to say "Hey where is Nina??"

I actually haven't watched AMC since the days of Nina, Palmer and Cliff so when he started as Jack it was confusing.

John turned the T.V. yesterday at dinner and there was Macy from the Bold and the Beautiful with Tadd (who should always be with Hillary in my book)....LOL!

I read about that in Soap Digest--Nancy Grahn from GH (who used to be with him on Santa Barbara) said she didn't know he was that ill until a couple of weeks before he died, and by that time he could not communicate. So they knew he was sick, just now how sick he was.
