Terrorists FLorida?

Just because they were released, I don't think they're "off the hook." I heard one comment on the news that if it's found to be a hoax on their part, they will be prosecuted.

If they admit it was a hoax, will we see"angry sister" at another news conference?

I cannot believe that the reason these "men" did this so called "hoax" was because Ms. Stone was "watching them, and making them feel Uncomfortable!" Well, maybe if they hadn't been saying what they were saying, she would not have told authorities about them! As far as them feeling "people are against them" well, if your PEOPLE hadn't done what they did in the first place, we would not be so Suspicious of your kind! Besides, if you cannot bide by the rules here in America, you need to LEAVE!

Let's not turn this into an ignorant racist thread.

I cannot believe that the reason these "men" did this so called "hoax" was because Ms. Stone was "watching them, and making them feel Uncomfortable!"

Where did you get those quotes? I didn't see or hear that anywhere. I did see a video clip of the students saying that they never said any of those things and that the woman made it all up. We may never know the truth. I hope they can get to the bottom of this.

I think this will always be a case of her word against theirs.... maybe some polygraph tests are in order.... this is a BIG DEAL... valuable time and money was used and if they did indeed make such a sick joke they should be held accountable.... if Ms. Stone did indeed make the whole thing up (as they said on television last night) then she needs to be held accountable. Somebody is lying....

I heard the same thing. They saw Mrs. Stone staring at them, and decided to give her something to stare at. If this is the case they should be held responsible.
In the day and age we live in, you can not kid about anything. They have this posted in the airports even. So if you wish to act the fool....

It appears to me that these men have no common sense. It's unfortunate that these men felt they were being stared at or watched. In all honesty they probably were stared at or were being watched. We as a HUMAN race (all nationalities, all creeds, all religions, all races, and all body types) sometimes feel it neccessary to stare, talk about, point at or just be rude to other people that they feel are different. Why? Because we are human. Doesn't make it right, it's just a fact. And I'm not saying it was rude to being watching these gentlemen. Who really knows why anyone at the Shoney's would of been watching them, except the people who were there.

However, making jokes about something that obviously IS NOT FUNNY was at the very least STUPID and TASTELESS. The fact that they admitted to joking about it because they "were being stared at" and now have recanted and are saying the Ms. Stone made everything up makes me feel that they originally thought that saying they were JOKING about it because they were being stared at would get them off but then realized or were told how ignorant that was and decided it best to change the story.

We all know how the 9-11 tragedy has made us feel. Even after a year it still feels like it was yesterday. AMERICANS and most other nationalities do not feel that 9-11 was funny, a joke, or anything to joke about. I have not heard ONE tasteless joke about this event, like I have about other events that have happened and have been preceeded with vulgar remarks, jokes and the like. Because IT'S NOT FUNNY! If they felt they were being ridiculed by LOOKS why didn't they confront the offenders. If they wanted to make jokes about something, there are 1000 other things to make jokes about EXCEPT 9-11. They obviously did not feel any sorrow or pain about 9-11 or they would not have been able to so easily "joke" about it.

IF it is found out that they did "joke" about it, IMHO, they should be prosectued to the extent that they would be prosectued if they would have joked or made a threat in an airport and they should lose the ability to practice medicine.

I do not feel this way because they are of another nationality or religion, etc. I would feel the same if any american would do this.

Sorry, just had to get this off my chest.

I am sure we will hear more of these characters in the future. I am sure they are probably being watched. My question is why did they blow through the toll? Why did they not want to share information when first arrested? I think they know more then what they are telling. Has anyone thought that maybe the guys had a stash of weapons sitting in a storage unit close to where they wanted to cause terror? I think Ms. Stone did the right thing. This is a new kind of war and we can't be too careful.

Absolutely! What would be the motivation for Ms. Stone to lie? Just to have them inconvenienced? Seems they're the ones lying. Get those polygraphs done! I was happy to hear that Larkin Hospital kicked them out of the program!!!

So now I've heard the students say both - that they didn't say anything of the sort, and that they were joking a little and she blew it out of proportion. Just by their changing their story, they seem to be confessing to their guilt.

I have to confess that from my pranks as a college kid, I can definitely see how this could happen. I hung out with quite a freakish crew, with all the piercings (before it was common), pot-heads, bald heads, flaming queens, and new wave lipstick lesbians. I can think of more than one occasion when we gave them "something to stare at." Sure, it is a completely different story when you're dealing with a national tragedy. But really, we probably would have warranted a raid on our houses with all the talk of the dead bodies we had hidden and all the drug activity we joked about. This is a pretty common pasttime of people who are used to being gawked at. And you know, sadly, there were plenty of people who just weren't emotionally affected by this at all. I can see how they would think of their prank in the same way... if they were dumb enough to not see how people were affected and what a serious issue it is.

Stupid kids.

If anyone's interested, these 3 will be on Larry King Live tonight.

Are they going to say how that woman made everything up and how it was racially motivated? Then I think I'll pass.

I'll have to pass on that too. After all those men were arrested here I really don't want to hear anything more. All this stuff going on makes me very nervous.

I saw some of this interview.... they seemed very believable- but so did Ms. Stone. Why hasn't anyone made the offer of polygraph?

Polygraph sounds like the best idea. And Ms. Stone's chest pain just makes me believe her more. She must be pretty upset to get chest pain.
