Ill tell you what..every year we get ants, and I can honestly say that the Terro Liquid ant baits work better than anything Ive ever used. Just 24 hours later, and the herd is GONE..try it. dont waste time with the plastic discs by that name brand company. Terro ROCKS!

So, do you take guilty pleasure at watching them enjoy the buffet?

Admit it! You do! :rotfl2:

Does it make the problem worse first? That is why I am afraid to use it. We have a baby here.

Basically its a liquid, you put down on a piece of paper about the size of a quarter. The ants all come and enjoy the buffet, then they go back to the nest to tell all of their friends, who in turn come to enjoy the buffet. Quite a show actually. Two days later, problem solved! No more ants!

Oh how I DOO enjoy it. I like knowing that the ants themselves will become the bait as well. They get it on themselves, and along comes the brother, and MUNCH! Spreading the love..
I do not use the papers, though. I just squirt it near em, around em, and on em. It works great outside, too.
The only thing was, this last time, I saw less ants interested in it. I suppose at some point, I will have killed all the Terro loving ants, and only the spawns of the ants who dont eat it will be left. Thats when you gotta get it on them. So, even if they dont partake, they will still be carriers..
You in Ohio Mike?

We have pets, so when we used to need Terro at our old house he would build little party cans, as we called them so the pets couldn't get to the terro. He would take an empty, but unrinsed pop can, cut out a little piece of metal from near the bottom and bend it down, making a little ramp for the ants. The terro was inside the can. You should have seen them scurry up and down that ramp to get into that can. Within a day, two tops, no more ant party.

the terro i like best are the ones that come in the little plastic container.

i have done the drops on the little paper but the containers works much better.

more can feed one it at a time.

it is the one thing that works super for us.

whenever we get the excessive rain, ant hills pop up outside.
the containers of terro really kill those little buggers!

because we have a doggie.....we used the ones that are in a plastic container.and put it behind the fridge and behind the couch and places that a dog or a child could not get near it....it is a miracle buffet I can tell you that:thumbsup2

I just starting to use Terro -- I have a pretty new house (3 years old, was new construction when I bought it) that I keep pretty clean and it's frustrating to have these little ant guys intruding. They were swarming all over the baits on Day 1 and 2 and it seems like they're starting to trickle down now on Day 3. Fingers crossed!!

I'd rather find a way to just seal off their entry points rather than kill, since ants are a good defense against termites. However, after caulking up all my baseboards they still are finding a way into my kitchen from some impossible to seal places, like the seam between my carpet and tile.

Another Terro lover here. We get those big black carpenter ants around here.

I like the soda can idea. We use a clean margerine tub and put a couple holed in the side put the terro on the lid and turn it upside down. I put tape on it so the cat's can open it. It has worked well for us so far.
