:confused3 :confused3 Anyone been there?
Is it very busy?
We are doing a Wishes Cruise :cheer2: and wasn't able to get ADR's at either WCC or AP, so thought we might just go to Territory Lounge. We'll be a party of 10. Anyone know if we could make ressies there, or if we'll stricktly have a first come, first served?
We'll be there at about 6:30-7:30 on a Sat night. How busy do you think it will be at that time?

Thanks for your help!

It's 1st come, 1st served. I would suggest trying for a restaraunt reservation at one of the other resort hotels nearby (Cont., GF, or Poly.) but a party of 10 is going to be tough anywhere.

I can't speak to a party of 10 eating there, but I did have appetizers and drinks there in May 2004. It was not crowded (but it was a week night--not sure how much that matters). The food was really tasty, as were the drinks--it is however a very limited menu and for two old friends with no kids with us it was fine. It was essentially just appetizers. I think we each may have gotten a personal size pizza. We certainly didn't feel rushed out of there in spite of the fact that we probably "lounged" there for about 2 hours.

It will be a party of ten adults. The appitizers would work perfect for us, and we MUST be at the WL by 9:00. We will be coming from offsite, and using offsite shuttle to MK, then the boat to WL. I'm afraid to go very far from the WL and I checked into a couple of other options, including Chef Mickey, and there was none available for ten. We'd all like to have a drink before the cruise anyway, so I thought this could be a good alternative.

Is the lounge very large? Oh, and do you reccomend any particular drink?

Thanks for any help.

It is first come-first serve. The lounge is not very big, kind of long and narrow if this makes sense, so squeezing 10 people in one area may be a bit of a challenge. They have small tables and if I recall, a couple of sofa areas at one end. This may work for you if you can snag that area. When I was there (on a Friday night) it was pretty crowded since Artists Point was crowded and Territory Lounge seemed to be filling up with people waiting for their tables at AP. I hope it works for you. Good luck and have fun. Another idea--possibly could get some appetizers to go and sit outside by the pool?? Just a thought.

I hadn't considered that. Is there a pool side bar as well?
Thanks,

We love the Territory Lounge, and never find it over crowded, but a party of 10 might be hard. In fact the time we stayed at the Poly, we went to the lounge there and it was so crowded, we jumped in the car and enjoyed a relaxing evening at the WL. If you are there take a chance, we have also had luck at the Outer Rim??? at the Contemperary.

Good Luck.

Any chance you would consider eating on the boat? You could have your cruise "catered" and eat on board. You'd have to order in advance, but I'm pretty sure they'd do that for you. I'm not sure on costs and menu, but I'm confident the good people at the Wilderness Lodge can help you with any specifics.

We went on a Wishes cruise 10 days ago and they brought us champagne, strawberries and cake.

Have fun!

Sorry, I should have been more specific. What I meant by this is to order "take-out" from Territory Lounge and carry it out by the pool, which is right down the hallway and out the door. I am not sure if they allow drinks to be "taken out", however I am pretty sure Roaring Forks (WL counter service) has bottled beer, wine, etc. This is located right down the hallway by the doors leading outside to pool as well.
The only reason I thought of this is because when I stayed at WL earlier this year I ordered a cheese platter "to go" and took it up to the room. Very yummy. If I recall, the menu also consisted of wings (Asian flair) and some sort of nacho platter. This could change, however. I also see people eating and drinking in the beautiful lobby around the small tables. Have a good trip. Write back and let us know how your Wishes cruise was (I've always wanted to do this) and how everything worked out. :sunny:

edit to add: There is the Trout Pass Pool bar but for some reason I have never seen it open so I am not sure what the menu is. Maybe because I was there in Feb.?? :rotfl:
