They thought my Dad's lung had collapsed today but it turns out that it was completely full of fluid - yuk. They said he looked remarkably well considering he was using just one lung.
Today he asked me where his cigarettes were - give me strength.
The consultant now suspects that my Dad has lung cancer. He also said that that would be the least of his worries. This didn't exactly fill me with hope.
I am still trying to be positive and talking to my Dad every day about getting better. We still share a rather dry sense of humour - I told him that he was poor company and that I would be visiting someone else if he didn't stop falling asleep. He replied, 'good'.
