Sending you lots of

I was in the same position as you last October - my dad had a prostrate exam and took a little turn for the worst a couple of days afterwards - they give you antibiotics after the exam but they dont work on everyone (there is a bug that if it gets into your bloodstream will give you septacemia).
He spent the night in hospital and my mum left for some lunch and I agreed to meet her there at 2pm for afternoon visiting.
When we arrived we were asked to wait - for over 2 hours - as they said they were "working on him" - when mum had gone for lunch he was sitting up reading his paper and asking for his lunch!
When we eventually get onto the ward they tell us he has septacemia, they have done all they can for him but his systems have shut down and they gave him about 2-4 hours to live

He spent 2 weeks in intensive care - he was on dialysis/tracheotomy and loads of other things to - but he made it

He's still not 100% - but he was fit as a 50year old rather than a 72 year old - but i'd say he was at 90% which is far better than we'd ever ever thought we'd have.
So wishing you and your dad all the best with lots of
