With all of these Terri threads , I thought we needed one to remind us of who Terri the person. Not Terri the cause, The PVS victim , the brain damaged woman, but who she was before the heart attack

She was a Disney lover who went to WDW for her Honeymoon and couldn't wait until she could go every year

Terri Schiavo's Unstuddied life
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7290818/

She was a girl who laughed easily at her uncle's lame jokes. A girl so naive that she wrote to John Denver, asking him to come sing at her wedding, who went to Disney World for her honeymoon and believed that a good life meant that one day she'd be able to vacation there every year with her kids

You know, I think that your post is the first one that actually mentions Terri as she was prior to her illness. That's a nice thought. :)

This whole thing just breaks my heart! I am keeping her and her family in our Prayer's! Shine On Terri!

I read this article this morning. These quotes really got to me...that poor woman.
"She was quiet," says childhood friend Sue Pickwell, who was a bridesmaid the day Terri Schindler married Michael Schiavo. "She didn't like the limelight. How ironic is that?"
For Michael, Scott Schiavo says, the days are filled with sadness and frustration and anger at the politicians and their attempts to intervene in what he considers a very personal decision. Michael, Scott says, wanted this to be a private moment.

The Schiavos are grieving, too, he says. He says Terri wasn't a sister-in-law to him, she was a sister. He breaks down.

"It's so sad that they've turned this wonderful person into a sideshow," Scott says, his voice shaking. "Into a media circus. It's such a shame. It really is. The one that's hurt the most here is Terri. Her memory. They're taking away whatever dignity she had left. They're taking it away. And it really stinks."
What a shame.

Why can't the media go away and let her live out her last few days in peace. None of the courts are doing anything(i am not trying to start a debate, but this is true) If you are going to make the poor woman die, let her! That is my stance. This is a sad, sad issue for anyone to go through. God rest her soul.

She was a handy artist as well. I have a really cute cartoon she did of an elephant as one of my screensaver pictures.

Thank you for this post. It meant a great deal to me.
I can only ask that God's will be done and that Terri not be in pain... ever.

:( That poor woman. She was and is such a beautiful person and it's a shame that the media has turned her and her family's life into a circus. I hope her final moments are nothing but peaceful

I saw a pic of her and MS's first house/apt, they had a Mickey phone :(

OK. We are outta control here!

How bout this! If you don't KNOW here personally don't tell me what she loved, liked, hated or wanted!

:wizard: Pixie dust for Terri. Godspeed her soul to heaven where she can visit WDW every day.

I think it's important that people actually remember the person she was , and not just remember that video
When someone is sick it's very easy to turn them into a case,a number an illness, not a human being...I don;t want to be remembered as Jenny, not justthat woman with AIDS... I'm sure Terri doens't want to be remembered only for that video

But... you and I did NOT know her. All we know is the media. I think that at this point trying to determine what type of person she was is next to impossible. I have a friend who died a death due to something much like what happened to Terri. I would never post things on a message board or in public about her and then assume that anyone knew anything about her or was going to remember anything if they didn't know her.

I agree with you that Terri would not have wanted to be remembered by those videos. If my family member did that to me I have warned them I am coming back to haunt them.

I"ve treid rally hard to stay away from the media on tihs
I've mostly succeeded. I think her Pre-Heart attack info is probably pretty credible. No one is arguing them.. It's really a beautiful article about her life.
That was the whole point.. No one knows anything about her..They know about her last 15 years. I wanted to post something that showed a bit of hear *real * life
