Has anyone heard of these? I need an 'Emily safe' way of saving my spending money for Disney and that means a money box which is difficult to put tweezers down to fish the coins out:rotfl: I like the idea of these pots but not the idea of smashing it after!

Hi emily, yes I have seen them in our local collectables store in Newcastle and the Metrocentre, not sure if I would like to smash it either, they are a nice thing though:goodvibes

Yes I have given a few of these as pressies - there are some pretty ones:goodvibes It is a shame you have to smash them - it makes me think twice about putting any money in :)

Do they take long to fill? It says you can't smash them till their full, plus there about £18!!

mmm may have to think of something else then!

They are expensive, I wouldnt want to smash it though they look to nice, get yourself a nice money box and put in the £18 pound into it:rotfl:

:rotfl: Well i did have a money box with £20 of £2 coins and i kept fishing coins out so now i have £6 with some coppers and 5p's.

What I have done is collect the smaller coins - if I am passing the bank have gone in for a bag of 5 or 10 pences as I dont want to spend them so much ;) I always have 5p in my purse so clear them out everyday - that sort of thing soon mounts up.

Another thing you could do is give it to your partner/mum/friend and let them know you are now allowed it back until a certain date.

That's a good idea giving it to someone. I also might get pop intot he garden centre and see if they have a strange shapes terracota pot and i might decorate it.

DP has one and suggested to her boss that they would be a good line in the gift shop :)
They are proving very popular.

You are supposed to make a wish and write a little note before you start to save. Then the first thing you do is buy a new one :)

If you save £1 coins expect about £400 :goodvibes

My Neice got one as a wedding pressie filled with £200 and a note to smash in emergency - I think it stayed intact a week ;)

I cant even remember the wish I posted in mine:rotfl:
