Terrace Desert Party

Thank you for those who posted that reservations open at 180 days - my DH wanted to do this but when he looked when we were booking the rest of our ADRs, he could have sworn it wasn't yet available! :confused3 Luckily we were able to juggle our plans enough to be able to add this in later in our week! :cool1: We spend the day at AK, then head to The Wave at the Contemporary for dinner, then we'll enjoy the park for a bit and have dessert! What's even better - we can focus on rides on our MK days during Wishes knowing we'll be able to view it later! (of course, we're also hoping to catch it one evening from TOTWL as well as we're DVC ... :thumbsup2)

I have fond memories of watching the fireworks from the Tomorrowland Terrace as a child (with a nice family from Australia) and then again when my daughter was small - both before the dessert party. I'm looking forward to being able to enjoy the fireworks from the venue again. The best part is always watching Tinkerbell head straight towards you! :tinker:

You can only book 30-60 days in advance. They won't tell you exactly so keep checking back to book for November.

I love the dessert party, we go every year. Great viewing of the fireworks and the dessert is very well done.:thumbsup2

I have it booked twice for the middle of November already. I'm actually going over to MDE right now to cancel 5 on the 18th

Guess I am the only one who wouldn't do it again. We loved the desserts and had a great front row table. My DS was very disappointed in the fact that we couldn't hear Jiminy Cricket and the rest of the narration. Everyone around us were so busy enjoying their conversations that it made it impossible to hear. The view was nice but we much prefer being in front of the castle. I am glad we tried it once but it is not something I would book again. Just didn't feel as magical as a seat from the streets!

You aren't the only person that Ive seen say they couldn't hear. I've never been but this worries me. I think I would be upset if I couldnt hear the narration ect.:scared:

will Tinkerbell fly in November? We were there last year and no flying (that was October)

Tink.flies everyday except when.the weather/winds are.not.safe.to.do.so.

I had no problems hearing the cricket each time I have gone, and we've gone during Christmas!! So, no worries from me. As others have said, I think it's a great, albeit overpriced, place to see the fireworks. There is nothing "magical" for me squeezing in with thousands of sweaty inconsiderate tourists. I've found the cms to be pleasant, and none of them have yelled at me about standing for the fireworks. In fact, I can see them just fine even from the back area of the seating. I'm sure that accommodations can be made for people who can't stand for long periods of time as well
The cms are very gracious - I've had a few give me cookies and other left overs to take home at the end of the night!! They have actually bagged up cookies for me - I wasn't asking, they just insisted on giving them to me!!
So, I like the event!:goodvibes

Tried to get reservations but waited until 170 days out and all were gone. Any ideas how I can get them for Nov8-14.

The view isn't as good as right in front of the castle and I kind of agree about hearing the narration. For us, not having to bear the crowds and having desserts and and our own table made up for it. We could see part of the MSEP and hear that music really clearly though, so that was fun. Not something we would do every trip because of the price, but definitely glad we did it once and I'm sure we will do it again in the future.

:goodvibes
