So, ususally we watch from in front of the castle, really close.

Is the Terrace dessert part going to be a total let down?

Hmmmm….I guess it would be a letdown if you:

1. Didn't enjoy having a seat where you can relax, away from the nightmarish crowds on Main Street, to enjoy the fireworks….

2. Didn't enjoy a buffet of delicious sweet treats and drinks….

3. Didn't enjoy Tinker Belle flying right over your head, so close you can almost reach out and touch her….

4. Didn't enjoy not having to stake out a spot 90 minutes or so before the show, leaving you time to do other rides or attractions….

So…there's a lot to consider if it would be a 'letdown' for you and your family - but whatever you decide, have fun! :)

The dessert party is lovely. Its actually...relaxing. Overpriced but so is everything else at Disney.

Apx how many people are at a party? Is it crowded? Often considered doing this myself

I guess maybe 200 people tops. And not crowded at all. Quite comfortable.

You can only book 30-60 days in advance. They won't tell you exactly so keep checking back to book for November.

I love the dessert party, we go every year. Great viewing of the fireworks and the dessert is very well done.:thumbsup2

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that the dessert party now books at 180 days with the rest of the dining reservations. They have changed it from last year. I've already booked my party for August!

You can book exactly 180 days in advance. It will close up quickly. Just as quickly as things like be our guest and CRT. There is very limited availability. I had no problems booking at 8 am 180 days before.

I looked up your date and your 180 day mark was 5/22 there is a chance it might be full already. I would keep checking, something might open up for you.

Oh Great, thanks for letting me know. We were last there in October and it drove me crazy they could not tell me when I could book. We are 200 days out so I'm thrilled I can include that with my other reservations!!:cool1:

Just wanted to comment on

point 1.. Unless things have changed.. the Fireworks viewing is standing.. You sit when you eat and then have to move to the railing to watch the fireworks and even if you are lucky to have a table outside of the awning, people will stand and block your view... CMs will yell at you if you move your chair over to the railing. Not a big deal for most people, but for us this was important due to my mom needing to sit.
Just an FYI for people who book this for these needing to sit ( elderly etc..)

Point 4.. Also depends on the season, day etc... We go in the off season and a few nights after we did Wishes party, my mom found a seat on the one of the bridges right by the castle, like 30 minutes before the show.. also there is now a FP option I believe??

Not sure where my post went. This may end up as a duplicate.

This was my view the last time I went:

When we went we had a front table and sat the whole time. Hardly any stood and nobody standing blocked our view while we sat. During the parade everyone was seated.

I loved this experience and so glad we did it! Can't wait to do it again on our next trip:goodvibes

Both times we've gone we've been lucky enough to get tables with good views and were able to watch from our seats at our tables. The first time, actually, all 3 of my kids fell asleep during the fireworks and DH and I got to enjoy them together. One of my fave WDW memories :)
