Good Morning!

I just started listening to the podcast and I LOVE it!

I was listening to the show with Teresa's $2500 challenge trip report and she mentioned something about splitting her park tickets into 4 passes with 4-days each . . . What type of tickets did she start with? I have never heard of doing this before.

Also, what is the sign-off phrase at the close of the show and what's the inside joke?

Please help a confused listener. ;)

She removed them from her room key.

She had annual passes so they were using those for park entry, but since she purchased the tickets and they were part of her reservation they were on her key, so she had them removed.

She plans to use toward renewing her next annual pass.

That is what she was talking about.

Hi Jenny,

sjsjbrook explained it pretty well. Being an annual passholder, Teresa and her family did not need the tickets that came with her package.

She had to purchase the tickets in order to qualify for the Free Dining promotion.

She asked about removing them from her Key To The World card so that they were not inadvertently used when entering the park.

She now has tickets that can be used toward upgrading to her annual pass renewal.

The sign off at the end of the show "Stay Out of the Damn Lakes" refers to an event that Pete and Walter witnessed when staying at the Poly a while back.

Although there are signs that state No Swimming...there were parents allowing their children to swim in the Seven Seas Lagoon.

Besides the obvious dangers of snakes and alligators, standing fresh water harbors a nasty amoebae that can get into your brain via the soft tissue in your mouth and nose. Every year, there are stories of children and adults dying from this. We've read that the symptoms start out "flu like" but quickly deteriorate. There is currently no cure for this.

Also, this is not just in FL. This happens in other parts of the country as well.

Pete decided then to start warning people that they should not let their kids swim in the lakes at Disney. The amoebae live in the sandy bottom and stirred up as people walk and shuffle their feet.

That's the origin of what he says and why he says it every week.

:scared1:

They have lockers for kids also! :rotfl2:

I thought Free Dining only required a 2 day ticket? Did they change it again?

Free Dining does require a two day ticket.

Teresa's KTTW cards had the two day tickets encoded and she wanted them taken off the KTTW card.

She had them print separate tickets to be used later.
