Can't recall, but isn't seating at Teppanyaki for 8? If we have a group of 12, should we fill 1.5 tables, or break into 2 groups of six? Just wondering if anyone else with a big group has had this dilemma.

Cindy

Sorry....I had to count for a moment but I believe you are correct that the 1/2 of the table is for 8 and the other half is for 8. We just visited with 6 adults in our party and we had most of the table filled and they seated 2 very nice people with us.

My guess is depending on how busy it is, they will seat 8 and 4 and fill in with another party....or if it's not very busy they might let you just do the six and six.....

My bet is the 8 & 4.

Enjoy! I love that place!!!!

You are right, seating is for eight. Two at each end and 4 across from the chef. I love this place, have a great time.

Question: Do they have a full bar? We're eating there for the first time in Oct and I'm hoping to drink some domestic beer... Miller Lite, Bud Lite, etc. I'd rather not have to drink Japanese beer.

I've found menus online but none of them have included a drink menu.

Thanks,

craig -- have you ever tried kirin or any of the japanese beers? they're really quite good. :)

I have. I was 'forced' to drink some while at a Teppan place in Chicago (no Miller). I wasn't a fan... but I'm not really a 'beer' drinker... I'm more like a 'Miller Lite' drinker who will only move to Bud Lite when they don't sell Miller. I'm very picky that way ;) Which I guess is ok since 99% of all liquor serving restaurants I patron serve one or the other.

Thanks,

There is a lounge connected to Teppanyaki called Matsunoma Lounge. We sat there and ordered drinks while waiting for our table. Here is the menu from Deb's site...http://wdwig.com/menu/menu_mat.htm

This is what it says about Teppanyaki...
A wide variety of Japanese and American Beverages including Plum Wine, Samurai, Sake, Kirin Beer, specialty drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic), wines, sodas, coffee, tea and milk.

Sorry, but I don't remember if there is domestic beer.

There is domestic beer. The guy next to me ordered a Bud light.

Kirin Ichiban is actually bottled in Canada. The only beer I've found that is actually imported from Japan is Sapporo, which is very good. I'm a big fan of imports. The only domestic I drink now is Shiner, brewed right here in Texas or Killians Irish Red.

Ahh....21 days till I'm there....toooo long!
