Teppan Edo?

I need some input here. Just a few (17!!!) Days left til my honeymoon trip. I'm surprising my husband with a dinner at Teppan Edo on our first night, but I can't find many newish reviews on here. It's kind of expensive, like $45 a person.

Worth it, or should we go to the quick service Japanese place? I've heard that's really good and nicely out of the way. Mostly I just want a little romance and food that's worth the money.

We really enjoyed Teppen Edo on our last trip, but it's not romantic. You'll be seated with others around the grill.

I like Teppan Edo but not for romance. You will be seated at a table of 8.

Teppan Edo was OK. I probably wouldn't go back. Every Benihana that I have been to has been far superior. We got sushi while there that is prepared at Tokyo Dining. That was really good. Maybe try Tokyo Dining instead. You get your own table, and it didn't look busy to me. The QS is really good and very pretty. However, the inside gets incredibly crowded. Luckily, the outside area is the nicest, so sit there if the weather is good.

I really enjoy Teppan Edo but I wouldn't call it romantic. As a party of 2, you'll be sat with other guests so the meal can feel a bit impersonal. I would recommend checking out Monsieur Paul or La Hacienda if you're wanting a romantic setting. Both tend to be a little quieter and have a nice ambiance, IMO.

We really like Teppan Edo: the show, the food and the communal table. We enjoy talking to other Disney folks.

For a romantic spot, we really like Yatchsman Steakhouse, Le Cellier, California Grill and Rose and Crown
