I know they have revamp the restuartant since were there a few years ago, but do they still have the Hibachi grills? DH wants to go there and I know the kids last time just got chicken. I checked the menu on allearsnet and it doesn't look like my kids would eat anything there. Unfortunately they are not that adveturous when it comes to food.

We did Teppan Edo last time we were there (Oct). The food was awesome, and we are not super adventurous eaters. We all got steak, with two eating the filet mignon and one the NY strip. The chef at the grill was so entertaining and interactive. It was my sister's bday celebration and they treated her like royalty. We would highly recommend it to anyone and plan to eat there on all our trips.

Awesome! We loved it too when we went back in 2005. Can't wait to go again. Thanks for the replies.

Last time we ate there we stopped by Canada on the way and picked our son up McDonalds and he ate it while we ate. They had no problem with this. He wouldn't have eaten anything there, but he did like the "show". We didn't have to pull the autism card, no one even said a word.

I haven't been, but I thought the food was just meat, veggies, noodles, and rice. I just booked this for our trip. The only picky eater I have is my oldest (11), but I figure she can just eat the meat, noodles, and rice.

Is there any choice in the vegetables? All the pictures I've seen are zucchini, onions, and mushrooms. Zucchini is actually the only vegetable anyone has an issue with (DH can't eat it, so I never cook it). They could just ask to leave it out, but it would be nice if we could substitute something else.

When we went a few years ago the kids all ate the chicken and rice. None of us are big veggie eaters. I don't remember what vegs were offered.

Not commenting on the bringing in food - just to note that you can't get McDonalds in the parks anymore.

They still have the hibachi grills and they still have chicken.

That sounds delicious and fun! I think my 5 & 7 year old will enjoy it, but I'm wondering if the hibachi tables are going to be appropriate for my almost-3-year old. Any thoughts?

Teppan Edo is an absolute must do for us. As for the veggies, I have never seen anyone ask for an alternate.

All three times we've gone, the veggies were zucchini, onions and something else. It was something I don't like, I'm thinking mushrooms, but not 100% sure on that. You also get udon noodles.

DH has started cooking this type of stuff at home occasionally using the flat side of the griddle. We love it!

Last time we went our DS was 2. He did fine sitting at the hicachi. We just kept reminding them that it was really hot. Once they started cooking I think they got the idea.

Thanks for that info, I didn't know this! We have a very hard time getting our child with autism to eat outside of his food list, ok its impossible...so this is important information for us!

There is not a choice in veggies but you can ask to skip one. I don't eat mushrooms and asked them to leave mine out. They did not put any on my plate. If you hubby has an allergy, I would mention it before they start cooking. They cooked my veggies with the mushrooms knowing I didn't want any from the start. The chef made sure I didn't get any which seemed weird instead of just cooking mine separate. DBF & I were not too happy watching it being cooked. He knows how picky I am but it worked out ok.

Your 3 y/o should be fine. We go to teppanyaki a lot with friends who have a 3 y/o and never had a problem.
