Teppan Edo??

Realistically, how long should I expect to be at Teppan Edo? I have read reviews and some people have said 2 hours. Is that right? I understand it is also a show (you know what I mean) than just a restaurant. But 2 hours--Yikes. If so, I might have to do some rearranging. Because I originally planned Le Cellier for lunch (hopefully 1-2ish) and then Teppan Edo for dinner. That might be too much time spent in the restaurants. We obviously want enough time to enjoy Epcot itself... We do plan to be at Epcot all day not leaving until after Illuminations. Which brings up another question, if Illuminations ends up going on while I am at Teppan Edo Will we be able to see them? Will be able to go outside and watch before returning to our meal? Has anyone ate there during Illuminations? Thanks

1) Plan for 1½ hours, or so.
2) If Illuminations starts, you do not leave the table, as the chef keeps cooking.

No, but watching them from the pavilion is a pretty good spot if you can get out in time.

We were there just north of an hour the last time we ate there.

We were there about an hour and 15 minutes when we ate there. You are not able to see outside from the restaurant. So, in order to see Illuminations, you will have to leave the restaurant and head outside, but you can't do that in the middle of your meal. I think that it would seriously freak out the staff. They seem to be on a pretty strict schedule.

So, plan for an early enough ADR to get eat, leave and make it to your preferred viewing spot for Illuminations.

And as an aside, I don't know if I would make a lunch and a dinner ADR for the same day. That's consuming a considerable part of your day and there is a lot to explore at Epcot!

At least an hour and a half, and they do not start cooking until they fill the table. I think 8 fit around the table.
