I feel stupid, but up until toniught when reading a review I thought these were the same restaurant! The menu is the same on AllEars... Anyway, we are looking at taking or DS 9 and 6 to experience Japan...they have finally decided they are adventurous enough to give it a try. Which one do I want to book? We are on DDP, so I don't know if that matters? Any advice will help. I don't see what the difference is, so if you know, please enlighten me! :)

Teppan Edo is the typical Japanese steak house where they cook your meal in front of you. The other is in same building but on oppsite sides but serves more of sushi is what I was told by Disney Dining. I think the kids will get a kick out of the teppan edo.:goodvibes :cool1:

Like someone mentioned- teppen edo is a hibachi style restaurant. I'm sure the kids would love it- it is a little less adventurous food if that is an issue. You will have to sit with other people if that bothers you too.

Tokyo dining has wonderful sushi, tempura's and terriyaki style dishes. The kids meals were great- my kids loved them. The waitstaff couldn't have been nicer and more patient with us and our kids. (we were having an off day of my dd2 spilling everything within reach- it was just one of those days) . Personally I prefer tokyo Dining because i can walk away with a lighter meal and i am not a huge fan of sharing tables esp with kids but you can't go wrong with either.

CHeck the menus again - they are a bit different but the one from Tokyo Dining does not list all the sushi options they have available

Thanks, guys. Would you mostly say the difference is just in the interactive cooking? My kids have never seen anything like that, so I think they'd love it. :lovestruc

I'll join you in your stupidity, then! :rotfl: I asked the same exact question yesterday about the two. Also confused because of all ears. Different menus, same pictures.
