Teppan, Coral or Biergarten?

Which would you choose to go to? It's me, my mom, ds8 and dd5.

Out of the three you listed, we have been to two of them. Teppan Edo has good food, the chefs are hilarious, and it is really neat to watch them make the food infront of you (my kids loved going here). The other restaurant we have been to on your list was Coral Reef. The atmosphere is great (love looking at the fish in the fish tank) and the food is good. Both of these restaurants we are doing on our May trip and we cannot wait. I have been thinking about doing Biergarten before, but after looking at the menu, and since my kids AND my DH are picky eaters, I feel that it wouldn't be right for us....maybe in the future.

Been to all 3 with DW and dds (8,6). I would pick Coral Reef among the 3 as I thought it has the best food and the aquarium is cool, especially if you get on the 1st row right by the tank. Teppan was good, but I've had similar tasting food and fun shows here in KY (really, you think KY is known for that cuisine? ). I thought the seating was a little close together at Teppan. The Biergarten was absolutely awful - one of the worst meals I had at WDW - and won't go back.

Can you do all three???? It's tough to pick one over the other, each is so uniquely different from the other. All three are my favorites.

If I had to pick, I'd go with Coral Reef, Teppen Edo, Biergarten in that order. Don't ask me next week though, because they could be reversed.

We've never been to Coral Reef, but tried Teppan for the first time in August, along with a repeat visit to the Biergarten. We weren't crazy about Teppan for a couple of reasons. First, the"chefs" aren't all that entertaining. It's really kind-of cheesy, we thoughts. Of course a squirt of hot oil is going to burn when ignited- what's the big deal? We also found the food to be mediocre; we can get the same around here, with salad and soup included (and we all knowthat Bangor/Portland, Maine, is know for its international cuisine, right? ) The exception to this is the green tea pudding, which is much more like a wonderful flan than a pudding. THAT was the highlight of the meal. It was disappointing, as we'd heard great things and were looking forward to this meal. It just wasn't all that, and we won't go there again.

The Biergarten was a surprise. We've been several times, and it's always been OK, not wonderful, not bad. This time, the food was really good, and we were pleasantly surprised. Lots of variety on the cold, hot, and dessert buffets, and everything was nicely prepared. We had good tablemates, chatty but not overwhelmingly so, and the entertainment is great!

SO maybe Coral Reef and Biergarten???

We like all three, but I would have to say that for food, entertainment, and uniqueness, I'd go with Teppan Edo. This trip we are going to Coral Reef, but skipping the other 2. We're trying Tokyo Dining TONIGHT for the first time. We leave for the airport in 20 minutes! Bye!

I've been to Teppan and Coral Reef quite a few times, never Biergarden, it just doesn't get me excited when I read the menu. I'd pick Coral Reef.

Out of those three the only one I would go to is Biergarten.

The food at CR is not what it once was (as can be said with a lot of places at WDW). It was a childhood fave of mine, but the last couple of trips have really disappointed. The quality and selections have really declined over the past few years. Yes, it has the aquarium wall, which is nice, for about 10 mins. After that it just becomes another wall, unless you are sitting right next to it.

If you have a hibachi restaurant near you that you have visited or have always wanted to try, go there. The food is nothing special next to that style of restaurant that we have in our area, TE tends to be overpriced and the chef's show is hit or miss depending on your chef (and even then it really isn't anything special). However, I will say that if you do not have a hibachi style restaurant in your area TE could be worth visiting.

That leaves Biergarten. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our last meal there. We liked the whole Oktoberfest atmosphere. The band was very entertaining and the beer was great. We had a great time with an older couple sitting at our table, while the family of 4 that was sitting with us seemed very uncomfortable (you sit at tables of 8, so your party of 4 would be sharing the tabe with another party or 2). The food wasn't fantastic by any means, but it was good. There was enough of a selection to keep both adventurous and picky eaters happy.

Here's the thing about the Teppan tables... there aren't that many, they seat a set number of people and there are a set number of chefs. So even if you have an ADR, be prepared to wait.

The last time my family ate there, we had a 1 pm ADR and were seated at 2:30--wasting an hour and a half of our day waiting in the lobby and then it was another 15 minutes before we saw a chef.

I vote Coral Reef.

I've eaten at all 3 several times and I would rank them:

Biergarten
Teppen
Coral Reef

I find the entertainment (and the encouragement for children to get up and dance on the dance floor) at Biergarten to be a great way to spend some time. The food is decent (as good as the other 2 places) but I get the added bonus of watching the kiddos show their moves on the dance floor.

I've been to two of the three. I would pick Biergarten. Coral Reef is nice, but the kids can see the same tank at The Seas. Biergarten, on the other hand, is a party! Ask to sit by the dance floor. The food is good and plentiful and the kids will have a blast dancing to the band. Adults can enjoy the show too and the beer.

EDIT: I have no interest in Teppan Edo because we can do hibachi at home.

We just got back and had dinners at Biergarten and Coral Reef. Both of these restaurants will be a miss for us next time.

The food at Biergarten was good...just not my thing I guess. Also, I didn't love the atmosphere. It was very noisy. I know this restaurant gets a lot of repeat business, so I am the minority, but the four of us said we will skip it next time.

Coral Reef for me the food was just ok. If you get a seat right beside the aquarium it might be worth it for the experience.
