I'm planning a trip for my friends (family of 6) and they have invited us (family of 4) to join them. They are staying in a small tt at the Fort - I haven't requested a specific loop yet - the first week of June. We would LOVE to go, but I have a couple of questions. Would we be able to set up a tent for the boys (11, 10, and 9) to use on a tt campsite? I know it will be super crowded in the camper and even though we won't be there that much, we still have to sleep! My husband isn't exactly sold on the idea yet. The camper will sleep 10 - but it certainly won't be comfortably. If the boys could sleep outside in the tent, we MAY be able to swing this trip!! :goodvibes Well, that and a good refund check!! :) Also, I've already made their dining reservations. We wouldn't be with them all the time, but we would like to join them occasionally. Would I be able to change the reservations to include 4 more easily? (We would all be on the dining plan.) Thanks for your help!!

You would have room on a Preferred, Full Hook-up or Partial since the have good size conquina (sand/fine shell) pads as well as a nice size paved pad. Don't book a Premium since they are large concrete sites, no sand pads and they do not like tents on the grassy areas.

We were in loop 100 (preferred) with a 27 foot trailer and a 12 X 20 screenhouse with 2 tents under it last summer. Worked out fine.

Dining reservations can only be changed if there is availability for that time/date. It's better to go ahead and make them for the number you expect rather than try to change at the last minute and be disappointed.

Make 2 dining reservations for each place you want to be and link them. A party of 6 and a party of 4. If you have 2 tables reserved, they will try to seat you close and if you cancel one, the other isn't screwed up.

In 2008, we had a tent with our TT in loop 1600. It was fine. We did the same thing. Boys slept in the tent. It was still crowded in the TT. LOL The tent fit very well behind the TT and still had room for the table. You can look through the post a pic of your campsite thread and see, not only my set up, but many others.

Hope it all works out for you. I will be there the first week of June in a tent.

We have reses for a full hook up site, can you give some specifics of your site and the 1600 loop in general?

Thanks,
