Hey all,

I'm currently planning a last minute October trip (over Columbus day weekend) and most of the campsites are booked. There is a full-hookup available but the pad doesn't look big enough to set up our 10*20 tent; does anyone have experience setting up a tent on a full hook-up site?

And just in case, has anyone ever camped at the KOA's in the area?

I think you can manage on a Full. Key is to call and get the size of your tent added to your reservation as a note. That way you should get assigned a site that will fit your tent. The sites and coquina pads are NOT cookie cutter is size and shape so there should be one to fit you.

I did a little study a year and a half ago and measured sites and pads in 1500 (Tent/Partial) and included two in 1600 (Full) for comparison. You can see there is enough variability that there is probably one for you.

For example, my width measurement did not include the width of the picnic table (see drawing) on the pad but you could move it to the concrete drive and have room to fit your tent.

That's one big tent! Room to stretch out I guess. October is a nice time to be there. Have a good trip!
