Okay, I know a few of you have done this. I want to know all the nitty gritty, dirty details of how the tent camping went at FW. Pictures are nice too. Send me links to your detailed trip reports that include just how exactly the camping experience went there. Especially those of you brave enough to do it in the summer. How did you manage? Would you do it again??

Thanks,

Hi- Just wanted to say welcome to the camping boards.

Tent camping at the Fort is like tent camping anywhere else, except you are in the middle of WDW, in a very nice campground.

I don't recall any detailed tent camping trip reports that I could point you to, but tent camping at the Fort isn't that much different from camping in a trailer or motorhome. You can participate in all the same activities, and are provided all the same amenities.

As far as tent camping in the summer, the biggest suggestion you will hear is that you need to figure out a way to hook up an air conditioner to your tent. I agree with that. It has been done many different ways. Check out the tent camping photo of the day thread.

Happy camping!

I've tent camped many times at Ft. Wilderness. EASY!!!! Deluxe, wonderful, fun!!!!!! However, never in the summer.
