TENS Units and Wet Rides

I wear a TENS unit and am wondering what other folks do when going on rides that you can get wet on like Splash Mt. I'm hoping I can just remove the unit but keep the pads and wires still on, tucked into my clothes. Please tell me if this is dumb and if you remove your wires too!

Sorry, I don't wear a TENS, but as an idea, could you just wear a poncho? That way, your back couldn't get wet in the first place.

I don't know anything about TENS units.

But the bucket you put your stuff in on those rides, it has a cover, but I wouldn't call it 100% for sure waterproof. It's pretty good. We trusted Pal Mickey in it but I was scared to put my camera in there, even in a case. Whatever way you go, I'd take some sort of plastic bag to put it in for added insurance.

I would agree with taking a plastic ZipLoc bag that the unit can fit in. If you are going on an attraction where you could get wet (Splash Mountain and Kali River Rapids only) you could take it off and temporarily put it in the plastic bag.

Splash Mountain is likely to get you, well, splashed and I have usually gotten wet on the butt because the water splashes over and gets the seat wet where I am sitting. For that, a poncho might do the trick and you may not even have to remove the unit. (I don't know if it would be possible to slip it into a bag while still on, but that might work too, as extra insurance).

Kali River Rapids is a whole 'nother story. You could get splashed, you could get wet, or you could get totally soaked to the skin. This is a picture of one of the several times my youngest DD got a total drenching shower poured on her.

For that, I think I would wear a poncho, take the unit off, put it in a plastic bag and put that in the center covered compartment.

I can't think offhand of any other rides where you would be likely to get wet.

I wear a TENs unit, but never bother in the park. I use a lidoderm patch, Advil liquid gels and wait until I get back to the hotel at night for the TENs. By the time you would unplug the lines, even if you left the pads, if they got wet could short them, and the pads likely would peel off.
I packed mine in the bag and if I really needed it I could sit with it on. But then I generally forgo all water rides.

I had mine on all day last week when we went out for a Sunday and the patches were sweating around or heat made them loose. Two were attached to my shirt. I had it turned off at the time, the battery needed to recharge but I did not want to fuss with taking off on the way home.
