Tennis rackets on plane?

Have you brought your tennis rackets on the airplane? How does this work? I don't suspect they would allow us to carry them on, would they?

You have to check the racquets. They will not fit under your seat and you do risk the chance of them being damaged in the overhead.

We curb check ours and since they are in a HUGE tennis bag, they do very well on the flight.
