Thank you so much for the info about this site! My dh and I were trying to think of a way to put something on the children in case they were to get lost from us. This will save me from having to write in all of their clothes.

A word of warning about the monkey backpacks with a leash on them that Juile was mentioning. I got mine a target for $20 each, the first day when they were a novelty it worked great, but by the next week not so much. My ds (only 2 at the time) got the monkey off and attatched it to a 4 tier rack in target, when I went to walk away I was pulling a rack instead of my son. Now this took about two seconds to realize before I bolted after him. Needless to say a lot of people got a good giggle at my expense that day!:rotfl:

You should also have a backup plan along with the tattoos. If they are anything like your normal temporary tattoos, they will rub off after a day or two. Since you'd probably put a cell phone number on there, all it takes is one or two numbers to rub off to render the tattoo moot.

My backup is a dog tag (military style). We just went to an air show, so we got one with our daughter's name and my wife's cell phone number with instructions to call if you find my daughter without us (eek!). You could either put it around the neck (if you trust your child to not take it off) or loop it through a belt loop with a key ring.

This is, of course, for a future trip as my daughter at seven months will not be going anywhere for a while. :upsidedow

There is an entire thread w/ all different options for "tagging" kids w/ info in case they are lost. We opted for bracelets (we're putting it on 2yo ds' ankle) because our 2yo won't know how to share the tattoo and the shoe ids don't work on sandals or crocs.

I had actually sent a question in for the Podcast gang regarding what the procedures are for lost kids in the parks. I would like to know what the CMs are told to do so that way I can give correct instructions to ds (6yo) in case we are separated.

I'm pretty disappointed that the procedure wasn't addressed as part of this discussion!

I don't why I said on the podcast that a set was 5 for $14.95. :confused3 You actually get 15 for $14.95 (plus shipping), which is why I originally thought it was a good deal.
