I'm almost positive I read this somewhere, but can't find it now. Is it possible to request a temporary entry to a park for quick shopping? I think I remember seeing that you could be granted like a 1 hour window to enter a park just to shop, and they'd hold your credit card or something, and if you weren't back out in that time they'd charge you full admission? Or did I just have a fever dream?

My wife really wants a pair of ears from The Emporium to wear during our trip, but we won't be hitting MK for a few days after arrival.

Thanks!!!

I honestly don't know the answer to your question but are the ears actually only sold at The Emporium?

I've heard of it, but I think usually it's because someone doesn't have a valid ticket -- end of vacation and the ticket is used up, or a local just popping in to exchange an item, that sort of situation. Honestly, I expect they would tell you to add the Park Hopper so you can enter MK after doing another park on your first day. But you can ask, you might get lucky.

Doubt they still offer that. Wouldn't that be something anyone trying to 'game' the park fee would request? What then prevents you from spending the entire day at park? Not like someone is going to go find you and tell you to leave.

The OP said your credit card would be held and charged for park admission if you didn't return in the granted hour.

What prevents you from spending the entire day at the park is they take your Credit Card info, or run it through or something, then reverse the charge if you leave within the time allotted. If you don't return, the charge stays on your card. At least that's how I remembered it working.

Not trying to game the system. We'll be right near MK on arrival day. Was just wondering if this was still possible. We can head to Disney Springs if we need to.

I was just commenting on why it is likely no longer done. I don't know how it used to work of there ever was such a thing as reversing a credit card charge. Seems it would also be a needless complication for those working at the Disney store.

No worries! And I agree it seems (seemed?) like a lot of extra work for the CMs. I was just wondering if it was still available.
