Follow up question. I know you can only get 1 boarding pass, but is there a way to cancel one and try again? My thought is, what if I try at 7am hoping to get one that is noon or later and I get one of the first ones and I know my family isn’t going to get up for it, can I cancel that one and then we all go into the park by 12:30 and then try at 1pm?

My guess is if there is a way to cancel, you can’t get another one, because the system allows you one BG per day. But I don’t even know if they have a cancellation option since there's no effective way for someone else to take your spot.

Edit: Actually, I think you should tell your family that if they want to get on the ride, they better get up and help you at 7am to increase your chances!

There’s no guarantee about when it will be called, though—I got BG 27 and was called around 2:30 p.m.!

On my Android phone, I have 2 apps that help me. One is called Net Analyzer and the other is called WiFi Manager. You can use them to find the best WiFi Signal for your ROTR BG attempt. They both will look at 5 GHZ and 2.4 GHZ signals, with color codes to see which one is best. Green is better than Red. The first time I used them was back in Jan 2021 before COVID at DHS. Found a great Disney WiFi signal near Echo Lake and got a BG. I would highly encourage doing a speedtest using WiFi and Cellular to see which one is faster at the location you plan an using. When I stayed at AOA in June, I used Cellular in the lobby and got a BG at 7 am. They might have a Cellular antenna indoors because it was much faster Disney's WiFi. I was sitting on the benches near the wall across from the check-in area.

If you can’t make your BG, talk to a CM and see if they can help out. They can sometimes sprinkle some fairy dust for challenging situations.

Refreshing is not the most effective method. Just need to stay on the main screen (AT-AT) and hit the button right at 7/1

What has everyone's experience been? Is it better to refresh on the "Attractions" page or hit join on the "AT-AT" page?

I did a practice round this am from home and was pulling down to refresh the "Attractions" page starting at 6:58 (phone time). I was able to get through to the no park reservation page.

Hello! I just have a few quick questions about my experiences with practicing to get a BG at home. I have read through threads and watched YouTube videos as well. I think I have a pretty good understanding of the system and I am using an atomic clock tab on the computer, my iPhone, and my cellular date. I just started practicing, and this morning I got through (using "home page" for the app and clicking JOIN right at 7:00:01am. I got to the next page where selecting people...and then to the next page... but here are my questions.

1.) When selecting people, for now (when practicing), is it best to just keep "select all"?

2.) On the "day of" at the park, will the members in my party be pre-selected who have tickets / reservations for that day? The reason I ask is that I have 3 "types" of people loaded onto my app under friends and family. 1.) The people who will be on this trip. 2.) People who have traveled with us in the past, but don't be on this trip. 3.) A friend who has linked his account with ours and will be traveling with us on this trip. Will it pre-select 1.) and 3.) people and leave off those at home? I am just nervous it will try to include people who aren't in the park / don't have a reservation or will NOT include my friend who wasn't a member of our original party, but now is linked through the app.

3.) Exactly how do you know if the "trial" was successful? What is the screen that is the "furthest" you can go? How do you know if it DIDN'T go through?

This morning I got to the screen with selecting people, but then I panicked because everyone was selected (some not going on this trip) and I froze (whoops). It wouldn't let me continue. Is this because we didn't have reservations? Or because the wrong people were selected? Or because I was too slow?

Thanks for the help!

All of these questions are answered in post 1. Highly recommend reading it as there is tons of valuable info there.

1) Yes
2) Only those with a park reservation will be pre-selected
3) Successful = You will get a message along the lines of "Is everyone in the park?" Unsuccessful = red error message along the lines of "all BGs are full"

Final day of vacation 😪 which means last time riding Rise.
I have gotten BG 4, 5, and now 21.
Turned off wifi, used atomic clock. Went onto my hotel deck. Join, join..
Thanks again for this thread!

I’m not convinced. Posters here have actually seen this message when practicing on a non-HS day? I’ve yet to see it except when, you know, it mattered. I only got one of the supposedly “successful” messages whenever I practiced, and a few seconds later the Join button is just gone along with try again later.

I practiced often and saw this message about 5% of the time - but I definitely saw it. We have had to delay our trip twice now and I practiced almost daily for a couple of months before each trip was cancelled.

You can choose whatever you wish to believe and I will choose what I wish to believe. It's each person's choice.

I've definitely received that message during practice. It's fine if you're not convinced though. Even without knowing whether or not you were successful, the biggest benefit of practicing is to familiarize yourself with the process and know without hesitation where the buttons are, etc.

There was gonna be another like until I read the second paragraph, seemed unnecessary.

Rise has been down all day. Recovery passes are being given out and then down again and then more passes...round and round we go. I give up. Wish I could donate my boarding group to someone. If this was my only chance this trip I would be losing my mind.
Instead California Sunset at Baseline for the sun setting on my mostly relaxing vacation.

Sorry for the “confusion”. Is this what’s deemed to be “successful”? This was for the 1pm a lot, after “homepage > JOIN > JOIN > Select All”.

If you stop to do this at 7 AM you will miss getting a BG. There is no time for any delays in clicking Join.

Dave

Should I remove guests from my party on MDE when it is just my son and I trying to get a boarding group? If I need to un click two people it seems that will cause too much of a delay? What do the experts here think I should do? My daughter and her husband will not arrive until the fourth of our trip. This morning I got to the page where it said select all, which I did, and then it said none of us had reservations. If I had to unblock my daughter and her husband - based on what I am reading- I doubt we would be successful.
Thank your any help, it is greatly appreciated.
