Hello all,

We are going to MHP on Oct. 31st and just wanted to know what people's experiences were with temperature on Halloween night. My wife and I have these great Winnie the Pooh and Tigger outfits, but I'm worried we are going to be a little warm in them.

Thanks for any info in advance.

go to accuweather.com and type in Anaheim, CA.. you can look up the history average tamp from there.

Hi there!

I think you should be okay. We always have sweatshirts & jeans on at night when we are there around Halloween. We are from AZ though - so take that for what it is worth. :rotfl:

We were there last year on 10/31, and it was very warm. Like shorts and tank top weather into the evening--lets go on Splash at 10:00 p.m.--warm. I was very glad not to be in a costume. Obviously it is going to vary from year to year. Southern California had record high temps the 10 days we were there (like 100+ degree days the first week of November). We're from Washington state, so anything over 80 feels pretty hot to us. I'd just say to watch the forecast and maybe have costume options?

Um....maybe it's because I am from Hawaii? But we were there last year on 10/31 (and going again this year!), and froze our butts off! It was 70 during the day and 51 at night! BRRRRRR!

It did get really warm afterward, but we literally ran the gamut of temps while we were there (10/30 - 11/9). Low 50's at night to 97 during the day! I hope you have free baggage, because you will use it!

We were there Halloween 2008 and it was hot. In the mid- 90s all week.

Wow, you're way north of us and I can't imagine wearing a costume in even 70 degree weather.

Maybe this will help a little. The average temperature in Surrey in August is 72 for a high and 51 for a low. The average temperature in Anaheim for October is 80- for a high and 56 for a low.

I know averages are not set numbers but basically if you feel like it's to hot for your costumes in Surrey right now than historically it will be too hot for them in Anaheim in October. :confused3

Here's Anaheim's weather data (1996-2010):

One more note to the weather table, which is the most scientific answer.

Notice that the low is often 20 degrees cooler (or more) than the high. That is the most notable thing about that time of year. It is warm during the day and then drops in the evening, making it feel much cooler than it is.

We've sent kids out in costumes that were perfect for the warmer weather only to have them race home an hour later for a change. An ideal costume would be one that you could wear one way during the day and then "warm it up" for the evening.
