could someone that came back around the second week in dec tell me what the weather was like, did you do any swimming? Family is thinking about a get together for my b-day 2007.

We were there Dec. 1-4, and it was usually in the 50's at night, and 60's in the day. As far as swimming, it was too cold for us, but we are from FL. When it gets in the 50's here, that's parka weather for us. :cold:

There were people in the pools and hot tubs during the day and in the evenings.

FYI - If you can stand the outside temps, the pools are all heated so that might make a difference as to whether you feel like swimming. :earsgirl:

DH & DS16 have been swimming in Dec ( & in Feb/March) @ WDW.
Note we are from New Hampshire. We keep our house at a 'brisk' :cold: 54 degrees, so swimming in a heated pool is a treat :goodvibes You'll find a lot of us folks from the frozen North enjoying the pools!
DS16 wears shorts even in the low 30's--and has been known to shovel out the cars in 20 degree weather (though not when windy!) in jean 'shorts' & an unlined parka, cap & mittens

Just got back from our vaca Dec. 9-14 (seems to fit your criteria).

Our weather was high 60's- low 70's during the day and 50's-40's @night. One caveat. We were told this was a bit on the cool side for Orlando in early Dec.

HTH!

It was warm during the day 72-78, but cool at night. We swam everyday, and even did TL on the 9th.

We go this time every year, and as we are from Connecticut, we always try to swim. The pools are kept pretty warm, (around 80) and if you can stand the cooler air, you have the pools pretty much to yourselves.

On the 6th we swam at OKW and were the ONLY 3 people in the pool _ LOL

We were there Dec 2-8 and I thought it was perfect weather for being at Disney. In the mornings it was around 50, but quickly warmed up to the upper 60s, lower 70s. One day, was around 80 - we wore shorts. Because we were so busy, we didn't get to utilize the boardwalk's pool as much as we could have, but the kids actually went in at night a couple of times (outside temp was cool, but water was nice.). I will definitely be planning another trip back at that time of year! Good luck with your plans.

Have been there a few times during this time period. It is hit-or-miss. Usually if you leave some flexibility in your schedule there are at least one or two days (or more) that are pretty warm for swimming. But, there are also days where you may need a coat. When we go in December we pack everything but the kitchen sink- the weather is pretty unpredictable.

We were there the 15th - the 19th and DS and DH wore shorts and a t shirt and sweat shirt and me and DD wore pants and sweat shirt. ALL of us came out of the sweat shirts around LUNCH!!! BUT put them quickly back on when the sun went down!!! :rotfl:

We went in 2002 during early december and it was unseasonably cold and rainy. Nothing I'm not used to being from the N.W. however I remember feeling cold quite a bit because I hadn't brought warm enough clothing trusting that it would be warmer than home. So if you go, just be prepared for warmer or cooler weather because there are just no guarantees! :)
