Hi,

I could really use some ideas on doing a scavenger hunt for our almost 8 and almost 9 year old girls. they're not into the princesses, FYI, but love the rides and my daughter especially loves the classic Disney movies.

I want to do a fun scavenger hunt with them in the house over the weekend and could use some ideas - I myself haven't been in about 25 years!

Thanks so much in advance!

When mine were close to that age, we made a hunt. First we sent them somewhere, and there they would each find a math problem that was like 9+3= and then it would have the letter E. There would also be instructions of where to look next. We sent them inside and outside of the house. When they came back to the kitchen with all of their math problems done and in hand, there was a code message with blanks for each letter and a number underneath each blank. So if there was a blank with 12 under it, that was an E.

When they had it all filled out, it said "Look at the November calendar". They flipped the page up to November and saw "Disney World" written brightly on our dates.

Hope this made sense! It worked pretty good and added a couple of different elements so they had to "work" on it and it took a nice amount of time. Code messages are always cool.
