Tell us about yourself !

Hi am Mmketeer,

I have been posting on Dis Forum for about three years off and on. I have worked for the mouse for almost eight years and I go camping almost once a month at Fort Wilderness. The reason my husband and I bought a travel trailer was because we were tired of leaving our four-legged child behind when we stayed at Disney (which we do a lot.) So, we bought a dog house on wheels and now besides when we go on the DCL or stay one night at a Disney Resort (which is rare now,)our baby is always with us. :)

I'm Kerry, 23, and I was raised taking family trips to WDW as often as possible.

As an adult, I went in celebration of my college graduation in 12/98, and then I met my Disney buddy, Katherine, and have made 3 trips with her so far.

We're trying out different resorts each time, and this time it will be Fort Wilderness! I've been to Hoop de Doo several times, as a kid, but that's it.

Katherine and I are very excited! Last night we went to Party City, which was having a 1/2 off sale. We bought some Princesses balloons to decorate our site with and various Disney paper plates, cups, and napkins to eat off of while we're there.

Hello, my name is Mike, my user name is Griff. My wife Karen and I, married 27 yrs, first went to FW in June 85 with some friends in their 24' camper, along with our 4 sons(2 ours, 2 theirs).
The next year we bought our own 24' alumalite, and went back to FW in June 87, which was the I believe the 10th anniversary of WDW. We went back to FW in June of 92 for the 15th anniv. and flew back in the summer of 97, and 99, while both of our sons were in college.

Next month, June 2-10 we will be at FW for our last family vacation as MOM and DAD w/sons, in our new 27' Dutchman with a superslide. One of our sons graduated from college last week, and the other will graduate next May. The only difference this time from the others is that we will also be bringing our son's girlfriends, who we are very close to.
As the boys begin lives of their own, with hopefully kids of their own, I hope they always remember the great times we have had at WDW, and treat their kids to the same. If they don't, I assure you their grandparents will.

WDW and FW are one of the only places where I say, " This is how it's supposed to be".

JUNE 2 - JUNE 10

Hi my name is Carol and I love to camp!!!

I go camping lots and lots with my two boys who are in Boy Scouts.

However, my DH HATES camping, so when we go to WDW together, it's always at All-Stars.

However, I am so tickled that I FINALLY get to go camping at Ft. Wilderness this December!!! This will be a solo trip for me :-) I'll be in my little dome tent with my air mattress. I've requested loop 1300.

This will probably feel like luxury as we'll have water and electric!! Most of my camping experiences have neither!!

Hi, I'm Lisa and I'm 39 years old. DH and I have been married for 13 years this October and have three children (all boys) 10, 7 and 2. Yes, I know there's a special place in Heaven waiting for me (LOL).

We have been to FW 4-5 times and I can't wait to go again. DH says no this year, but I'm still hoping to change his mind. We have a pop-up trailer and always have a good time at WDW.

Nice to meet you all!

Hi! I'm Lisa - 40 years old, married to Rodney for 18 years. We have 3 children - Kenton (15), Kevin (12), and Leighton (girl, 10). We have a pop-up and have been camping for 4 years. We mostly camp in the mountains of Alabama and Georgia.
We just got back 3 days ago from a wonderful 8 day stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We fell in love with it! While we were there we drove over to Ft. Wilderness to check out the campground, since we will be camping there Oct. 5 - 15 (next year our school goes to a modified schedule with a fall break - yay!) We are also planning a trip next spring break, probably also camping. We were really impressed with the campground and can't wait for October to get here!

Hey Everyone!

I'm Stacie. On the old board I posted under the username StacieE....but I've been gone for a while and couldn't for the life of me remember that name (wonder what else I've forgotten!) Realizing that The Dis has undergone some big changes since last year, I wasn't sure if my record would still exist and by the time I received the confirmation message with my old info, I had already logged in as IDreamofEeyore. Like that a bit better anyway (maybe I'll remember it more effectively than I can my real name?) so I guess I'll go with it!

Anyway...I'm a 30-something nature lover and have been camping for as long as I can remember...tents, a pop-up and RV. I love anything outdoors and have been rained on more times than I care to admit because of "taking my chances" with the weather so that I can drive with the top down on my Jeep.

I refuse to stay anywhere but Fort Wilderness when visiting The World. I just don't think you can do any better!!

Oh, one final thing...I must admit that I am a bit jealous...my parents (who also read these boards) are both retiring and will be hitting the road in their RV...bet I know where they'll be spending most of their time!!!
