Tell me why you love (or hate) Coronado springs! PLEEEEZE!

The Coronado Springs Resort has most of the ammenities of a Deluxe resort at a moderate resort price.

The Southwest theming and decor was excellent. Very nice landscaping. We never had a problem with the Pepper Market. If the extra gratuity is a problem for you. Do like we did, just take the food back to your room and they don't charge you the gratuity.

We stayed at Coronado Springs on our 1st trip several years ago. We thought the resort was just beautiful. Do you like the southwest theme? It was myself, DH, DD, DD, DS. My son was only 6 months at the time and we asked for a crib in room. Yes, the resort is very spread out. Do your homework as far as a room request. The bus were just fine. The theme pool is awesome. We loved the Pepper Market. My daughter actually wants to go back this summer when we visit and make a trip over just to eat there! We also had a nice, quiet meal at the Maya Grill. Hope this helps.

We've been to CSR 8 times and we still love it just as much as our first time back in 1998.

IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it because of all the great choices but some folks just don't care for it.
Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests in suits. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses and pool empty. CSR is the only mod convention center but the GF, Cont, BW, Y&B Clubs are also convention centers.

We really like CSR, but, I would never give up a day at WDW and pay more $$ just to stay there. We've never stayed at a Value, but we've talked about doing a short trip just to check out POP.

First of all let me start out saying it would be tough to loose a whole day of WDW but I have been sold on CSR and I haven't even stayed there yet. We did stay at Pop last year and absolutely loved it. We were originally booked for WL and Poly then changed to POR w/ dining but I had read so many good things about CSR that I changed over. But good luck on whatever you decide.

Thank you all for your replies. They helped me make my decision. Since we will not be in the room much and we are going in Feb (so the pool is not a big concern) we decided to take the extra day and just stay at POP. I think if it was just my DH and me and our 9 year old was not coming with, we would opt for CSR- and we still plan on trying it out it the future- but since it is the 3 of us, I think Pop will be just fine and my son will enjoy it. We plan on being out of the room alot and don't need much room (esp since the beds are the same size) so the extra day is what we would rather have and as far as the themeing, we live in Arizona, so the southwest thing we have on a daily basis! LOL! Thanks again so much!!

Oh I love Pop - but some people hated it.

It is a matter of taste.

be sure (if you can work it in) to go around the resort and look and read all the stuff - tons of memories!

definitely get the refillable mug at Pop - the bus stops in front of this food court - so it is very easy (if you have your mug in your back pack) to get it filled before returning to your room.

I think we will like it because we really liked ASmo. We will definitely get the refillable mugs! That is a great deal for us since we love soda. We will be sure to explore the enitre resort. I am off to read the FAQ's for pop!

CSR rates as top mod in our book. No doubt about it. We love the Pepper Market and the Dig Site.

As you can tell from my signature, I love CSR. I prefer it over several Disney Deluxes.
Love the grounds, recreation, pool, and Pepper Market. The Maya Grill has fantastic service. Well, actually I've never encountered bad service at CSR. All the Cast Members have been great. Love the bus service. Rarely crowded. I too would call it "Disney Deluxe Lite" since they have a fitness club, beauty salon, Business Center, more room service options than other mods, etc... I feel the resort is a lovely respite from the action of the parks. I also like the fact it is a convention hotel. There are more adults around and they were able to immediately whip up food for their guest during Hurricane Charlie due to their catering facilities. Can't wait to go back

We love CSR too! Everyone has hit on the major points but we love the main pool area, the Pepper Market and the transportation the best.
