We will be splitting our stay between Universal and Disney and would like to be in a location in between both of them if possible. We would like a nice hotel, one we could relax at if we want to take a day off from the parks. Any help is appreciated including where should we avoid!
Thanks!

If you're thinking about going to Universal, why don't you consider the Hard Rock Hotel? I was able to book the "Entertainment Book" rate of only $117 per night. It's within walking distance to Universal and you get the "Front of the Line" pass (like FastPass) for almost every ride automatically by being a hotel guest.

Would love to stay there but I'm afraid I won't be able to get that great rate! Mind you, as soon as the 2002 rates are relased I'm going to try my hardest! The lady I talked to at Lowes said those rates go super fast, and my chance of getting one is about nil. She did mention a rate for US/IOA annual pass holders so I am considering that, as well as the HRH all access card. I would happily pay $149 with that as well. I just can't pay $219 or higher which is what she quoted me. I just need to book something in case I can't get that rate which I'm not going to count on.
