Like a good WDW vet uber-planner, I had looked up info and made note of which places we wanted to try/which were recommended and ideas for things to order before our trip. Then I accidentally left all my lovely notes sitting at home when we left for the trip. Now we're here and I'm trying to figure out what to eat, as we'll be here through Friday. We had Cafe Orleans yesterday and Earl of Sandwich for lunch today. Where else should we try this week??

What kinds of foods do you like?

If you liked Cafe Orleans, I would consider French Market in DL or Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen Express in DTD.

Other QS locations that I like include Plaza Inn (Fried Chicken), Jolly Holiday (Tomato Basil Soup, a salad, and a dessert), Flo's V-8 or the Cozy Cones (snacks), and Red Rose Tavern.

The Lounge in Carthay Circle, Cove Bar, Boardwalk Pizza, the places on the Wharf, French Market, Rancho, need more?

FLo's is good for breakfast. And I am a huge fan of Bengal BBQ (although not so much the line). Lobster nachos and fun drinks at the cove (get in line at about 1045). BREad bowl soup at Pacific Warf or Harbor Galley.

Are you asking for inside parks or out? OR both as you mention places in DTD?

Thanks for the suggestions all! There seem to be a lot of options.

Thank you! Do you think the gumbo and beignets are better at French Market or Jazz Kitchen Express (assuming you've had both)? Thinking of doing that for a meal one day. We definitely liked Cafe Orleans. We are pretty open as far as food types, but we really love Mexican (however, we are Texan, so skew toward Tex-Mex) and Asian.

More inside than out, but we will probably hit up DtD one more time before we go. We were there today because the kids wanted to see World of Disney.

In DL:
French Market, Plaza Inn, Red Rose Tavern. We never eat at Rancho del Zocalo in DL for lunch or dinner but like to go for breakfast. We have friends who liked Rancho and also Cocina Cucamonga at DCA. My in-laws like the quick service side of Tortilla Joe's in DtD. I keep meaning to get back to Hungry Bear again to try out the funnel cakes but haven't been real interested in eating there while all the scrims are up.
In DCA:
We like Flo's for lunch or dinner but not breakfast. My younger son loves the bread cones with either chili or mac & cheese at Cozy Cones. Older son likes soup in a bread bowl at Pacific Wharf Cafe. Ice cream at Ghirardelli or ice cream bars at Clarabelle's are usually musts. I haven't been a fan of Award Wieners for a number of years, but they have gone back to all-beef hotdogs and finally serve fries with them instead of chips, so I really enjoyed that last time I was there.

I like Smoke Jumpers since you can customize your own burger, the corn dog cart in DL, COzy COne motel food cones, we also usually eat once per day/trip at Luck Fortune Cookery. At GCH the whitewater snacks. Outside teh park we usually walk across harbor to Pizza Press, so good.

I believe it is closed right now.
When we were there late last week, they'd closed off the seating areas, but the counter was still open. I was surprised, since I'd heard it was closing Tuesday, but as of Friday the counter was still open. There's nowhere for you to sit once you've gotten your food, but you can (could) still get it.

BTW, for breakfast, I always grab some Begneits at Ralph Brennan Jazz express, even if i'm not hungry.

Paradise Garden Grill in DCA. For Mexican, either Cocina Cucamonga in DCA or Rancho del Zocalo in DL. Jolly Holiday, Plaza Inn in DL....really lots of places, just go up and read the menus!

Jazz Kitchen in DTD is awesome, love that place. Café Orleans is a fav of mine too, but you already went there. Blue Bayou is an expensive Disneyland staple so if you have the means, definitely hit that place up. In DCA Flo's V8 Café is always fun, Smokejumpers is a cool burger joint for lunch, Cove Bar always has a long wait and no reservation options but that place rules.

For quick service,

DCA

Flo-s V8 Cafe
Pacific Wharf Cafe

DL

Jolly Holiday Bakery
Plaza Inn

DTD and Hotels

None except for Earl's which you know about already

We had the best meal of our entire trip at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, I'd recommend this to anyone
