Tell me what you think

sure, but he asked if he could use Auto Bracket in M.

It all depends on what you're shooting, some people almost never use M, some people only use M. I know personally I use Av 95% of the time.

Yes you can but its a bad idea to auto bracket for anything at night. The timer tops out at 30 sec and often at night that is not enough for a +1 or +2. I learned this the hard way last year when i returned home from my trip. My normal shot may have been 20 sec and my +1 or +2 are at 30 sec which is not even close to a correct +1 or +2

Hello all. . . i didn't play around yet but that's how I remember it working in manual. It changes the shutter speed, which threw me off. For ease I'll use it in AV mode for the ride shots. I figured I would use the sigma at prob 2.2 to 1.8 so i can at least still get a focus point and I'll set my brackets how I see fit.

I guess I'll do a -.5/0/+.5 and see what that gets me. No way of really knowing till i get it on my computer back at the room. If we go on the ride again I can always make changes, but that's the fun of it.

Is there anyway I can bracket all in the positive side? since that's what i needed to do anyway. . .

so a +.5/+.75/+1.0

or do i always have to just do like above. i never really tried to make alot of changes with bracketing.

thanks for that info. good to know. I was originally talking about dark ride shooting so I have been making sure my speed is high enough to get rid of blur but i wasn't exposed enough and some mentioned about bracketing and overexposing vs uping exposure in say lightroom.

but deff good to know for night shooting cause i have bracketed at night at the WL but did not know about the 30 sec thing.

Appreciate it!

You can, just set your exposure comp higher, and it'll move the brackets with it. ie. if you set exp. comp to +1, and you have a +1/-1 bracket set. it'll shoot 0/+1/+2 if that makes sense. I don't remember if it goes by third stops, or quarter stops in the auto bracket setting.

Cool thanks for that. I appreciate it. I have to pull my camera out today. I'm still in editing h}ll from my October trip. We were with a lot of diff friends that trip so I have way more than normal amount of pics and people asking where they r at. :(
