Tell me the "weather" where you live.

In Central Texas it started raining, turned to sleet & snow. It is 34 feels like 27. We are not use to weather like this. I stayed home from Church, because the roads too slick. I am 45 mins. from my Church. Tomorrow hi of 48 with low of 32. Lots of accidents in Bastrop, Tx.

28 and snowing. Started about an hour ago and we have a good dusting.

We might avoid the white stuff today, tiggerdad, that you got this morning.

There was none on the ground when I got up but we have had plenty of rain. And temps won't get cold enough during the day - the freeze line will stay about 40 miles north of us.

Did they close down the state? Lol. :rotfl2:

The western and northern part, yes. Mostly, after sunrise anything left falling was just a cold rain. We were right on the line of temp change. For instance this snow was at my house, but when I got to work, about 15 miles south, there was almost no snow. 30 miles north got 2-3".

It's out of my system. I really don't care for it at all unless I'm off work and can go hunting, then I'm all for it.

Anyway, it's over. Come on summer!

So are the ski slopes open ????

Was it gone by 10am?

That's a lot of snow for MS.

It had stopped snowing by sunrise here. News actually had some north central areas with 5-6", so yes, it's a lot for us.

So are the ski slopes open ????

By ski slopes, I assume you mean the angles banks along the side of the interstates, then yes. Most of our "ski slopes" are actually just car hoods tied behind trucks with as many family members as possible piled on.

BWAHAHAHAHA, our fiendish Midwestern plan to send the snow your way worked this time
And it stayed just far enough west and north so I'm just getting rain down here!

And don't knock the car hood on the interstate overpass. I have fond memories of a VW Bug hood at our favorite sledding hill. I have no idea where it came from, but it was a lot of fun.

30 and Sunny here. No snow in the forecast, the wife and kids blame me for buying a plow blade for the yard tractor.

This morning was 15 degrees at 7am. By the time I got out to the mountain it was 20 degrees. Well at least while running the chainsaw there is not much of a chance of snakes at these temps.

18 and still some snow in shaded areas

Wow - that's noticeably colder than up here. We've managed to maintain a pretty mild winter so far. A few inches of snow still lays on the ground, but we've been peeking above freezing almost every day. Up to the mid to high 30's is predicted for today. Even the long-range forecast show us holding reasonable temps for the next week. Might drop a bit at the end of next week but, even then, nothing arctic. For a WI winter, I'll take it!

Sunny and cool up here. And by "cool", the locals think low 50s is cool for January. The high tomorrow is going to be 50 and the local news called it "Chilly" with an icicles graphic.
