Tell me the "weather" where you live.

Just a cold miserable rain here. So close, but so far.

We are going back into the single digits for a few days, but Michael, Ed and Arc, you may be getting a proper winter for awhile.

Good news is the Mouse House looks to be in the clear.

Yep Jim, here we go again.

Good thing I saw this on the forecast yesterday morning and went STRAIGHT to the store to get enough stuff to survive the 1-3" of snow predicted here. But you know they'll run out of milk and bread soon.

I got some stuff goin' on Tuesday and Wednesday but nothing that can't/won't be rescheduled.

Ed

The panic is beginning here in MS. This is the point in my life I am thankful I am not still bagging groceries at Winn Dixie like I was in high school. By far the worst beatings I ever took was in advance of a "possible" winter storm. They go stupid around here real quick.

For us the level headed folks are saying a "dusting", but possibly up to 3 inches of snow, actually a little further south of us has better chances.

I was already off work next week so I can hunt and enjoy it here on the 100 acres without dealing with other folks.

I know I'm 90 minutes away but if you need a hot cocoa run, add 10 minutes to that and I can be there with a full thermos.

Being retired is SO sweet! I'm available for hospitality runs of an emergency nature! :drive:

Ed

PS - gonna be cold next week in the mornings. I also offer a hot English Breakfast Tea run. ☕ (taken from my own personal supply)

i intend to sit out on that new patio you toured, take the cover off the outdoor furniture and light up the gas fire pit and watch it snow.

My brother, head on over

They predicted 4-6, we got rain and now snow. Expecting a very wet 2" of snow. J has a meet in College Park, MD tomorrow.....so hoping temps don't plummet and turns the roads into a sheet of ice.

We were expecting 6-9 inches. We got 5-6. It came through wet and heavy so we removed snow last night. It got colder overnight so what we woke up to was light and fluff and easy to remove. It won’t be above freezing for at least a week so hoping we don’t get a skating rink from the thin layer of snow left after we cleaned up.

For us the snow situation tomorrow will not be as bad as was earlier expected.

Actually, it will be worse further SOUTH of us.

In central AL where we are, we will get "up to" one inch of snow.

From Montgomery to the Gulf Coast, they're expected MORE snow: even snow in Mobile, Gulf Shores, and back along the Mississippi and Louisiana coast.

Just cold here, though.

Supposed to be 15F low Tuesday night. :cold:

NOLA with 3-6 inches of snow? :scared1: Now that's climate change FER SHURE!

ED

PS - the county I live in is right under the letter "B" in the word Birmingham which has little snow forecast. Weird it's worse further south!

Hopefully today is the last day of bitter cold. It was 0 when I left the house to go to work. Downtown StL is usually 5-10 degrees warmer. I pulled into the garage at work and the car said 1. I never saw a negative number on the car driving in, but it was a solid 0 or 1 all the way here. Forecast is to be back up to freezing tomorrow and even near 40 later in the week. "January Thaw".

It's just cold here in MS, or at least where I'm at (see Ed's pic above but I'm at the 0.4 on the map)

Sipping coffee and watching gas logs.

I now live in Seguin, Tx. now.Our Son lives here & going thru cancer treatments. He has been wanting me to move here since Grumpy Aggie went to his Heavenly home. I was in the Bastrop area for 46 years. Very hard move, but when y our child needs help - Mommy comes. I have maybe an inch at the most. Right now it is 33 feels like 24 with NS winds of 16. All stay warm. Bama Ed, I had a nice big cup of hot chocolate this morning. Normally I drink Diet DP's.
